The actor is married to Mary Camilla Bonsal Campbell. Platt and his wife married on September 12, 1992, in Kittery Point, Maine. When The Bear star spoke with SouthJersey.com, he gushed that he loved to “hang around with my kids and my wife” when he wasn’t working. “It’s easy to get sucked into all the show business crap. My family is my grounding. They give all this stuff perspective,” he said.

Is Oliver Platt related to Princess Diana?

Technically, yes. Platt’s mother was Princess Diana’s second cousin, making him the royal’s second cousin once removed. On The Rich Eisen Show in 2024, Platt revealed that he “never met” Princess Diana, but his family was invited to her 1981 wedding to Prince Charles. However, they were eventually “disinvited” from the nuptials. Platt, who was in college at the time, thought he was “too cool for school” to attend.
