Though Love Island: Beyond the Villa Season 2 will follow Love Island USA Season 7 winners Amaya Espinal and Bryan Arenales in the aftermath of their breakup, it’ll pick up several months after the fact. Beyond the Villa was filmed from mid-November 2025 until January 2026. Amaya soft-launched her new boyfriend on social media shortly afterward, keeping his face hidden from curious fans.
The reality star first mentioned that she’d found love on January 29, telling People that she protects herself by knowing when to turn her phone off and “call[ing her] boyfriend to vent to.” It all begs the question: Will Amaya’s mystery boyfriend make his debut in the spinoff show, which premieres on April 15? Or will she continue to keep his identity under wraps?
“So I’m currently in a relationship, happily in love,” Amaya told Swooon ahead of the Season 2 premiere. “And you guys will see some bits and pieces on maybe how that story unfolds. But, yeah, we like to keep that private in that way. But you’ll see just enough, just enough love.”
Amaya has previously explained that her new relationship is special because their love isn’t in the spotlight. “Being in the public eye, going back home to something quiet and safe is something that I really find special,” she told E! News on the red carpet of Elton John’s 2026 Oscars Party, which took place on March 15.
She offered a few more details about her man, who gifted her two bouquets of roses as an early Valentine’s Day gift on February 6. That same day, Amaya posed with her boyfriend on a “spa date,” according to an Instagram Story screenshot obtained by People. Only his tattooed arms were in the frame. “My boyfriend is very supportive, and I feel like that’s what I love so much,” Amaya later explained at the Oscars after-party, which she attended solo. “He doesn’t get jealous.”
Amaya revealed she was in a new relationship about five months after her split from Bryan. After making their relationship official before leaving the villa in mid-July 2025, Amaya and Bryan confirmed they were still together at the Season 7 reunion. It was filmed on August 12.
About a week later, Amaya announced her breakup from Bryan via Instagram Story. “After leaving the villa, it became very clear that we were on two different journeys,” she wrote. “Our visions didn’t align and relationships are supposed to be a team sport. You don’t have to drink the whole sea to know it’s salty.”
