All About ‘RHORI’ Star Jo-Ellen Tiberi’s Sister & Their Shared Romantic History
Bravo fans are getting to know Jo-Ellen Tiberi on The Real Housewives of Rhode Island. In addition to the drama, Jo-Ellen is also sharing insight into her marriage to husband Gary Tiberi, whom she tied the knot with in 2016.
As Jo-Ellen previously told Swooon, she met Gary around 2001, when he was a senior in high school and she was a freshman. “He was in the same grade as my sister and Alicia [Carmody], so we’ve all known each other a long time,” the Bravo star explained.
On the premiere of RHORI, she added, “I’d walk by his locker and be like, ‘Hi.’ And he finally said, ‘Oh, you’re Jen’s little sister.’ My sister loved him. But I was like, ‘I want to marry this man,’ and I chased him. And then, finally, I got him.”
Meanwhile, Alicia later confirmed on the show that Jo-Ellen’s sister “might have had a little thing” with Gary at one point. It wasn’t until after Jo-Ellen’s father’s death in 2010 that she and Gary got closer and began a serious relationship.

Who is Jo-Ellen Tiberi’s sister?
Jo-Ellen’s sister is Jen DeSaint. She is about three years older than Jo-Ellen. They also have a brother, Tony, according to their father’s online obituary.
Jen graduated from the University of Connecticut. She has a food account on Instagram and notes that she “really only created this page so a restaurant will invite me to eat for free. It hasn’t happened yet but I have hope.”
What does Jo-Ellen Tiberi’s sister do for a living?
In April 2025, Jen revealed that she was leaving her job at Flagship Pioneering after four years. She worked as an executive assistant at the company, and previously held executive assistant positions at Citizens Bank and Natco Home.
Is Jo-Ellen Tiberi’s sister married?
No, Jen is not married herself. She confirmed her relationship status in an Instagram post after the RHORI premiere. Along with a clip from the show, Jen wrote, “Thank you Bravo for using this pic of me with Alicia. I can tell you really want to help me get a husband.”
Jen seemingly confirmed her past relationship with Gary in another post where she shared a screenshot from an RHORI episode that said Jo-Ellen “married her sister’s boyfriend.” Jen captioned the shot, “Bravo said it not me.”
