Who are Sally Field’s sons?
Field welcomed her first child, son Peter Craig, with her first husband, Steven Craig, on November 10, 1969. Their second child, son Eli Craig, was born on May 25, 1972.
Following her divorce from Craig, Field dated Burt Reynolds for several years. After their breakup, Field married her second husband, Alan Greisman, in 1984. Their son, Sam Greisman, was born on December 2, 1987.
“The three things I am most proud of in my life are Peter, Eli, and Sam. My sons,” Field said at the Human Rights Campaign annual national dinner in 2012. “They are kind and loving, productive human beings. Each very different from the other.”

Peter made his screenwriting debut with The Town. He cowrote the screenplay with Ben Affleck and Aaron Stockard. He also adapted the screenplays for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1 and Part 2. He earned his first Oscar nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay for cowriting Top Gun: Maverick. He then cowrote the screenplay for The Batman with Matt Reeves.
Peter is also a novelist. He released his first book, The Martini Shot, in 1998, followed by Hot Plastic and Blood Father. He adapted Blood Father into a feature film starring Mel Gibson.
He teamed up with his famous mom for the first time on Remarkably Bright Creatures. Peter served as one of the producers of the Netflix film.
Eli Craig

Eli has been the writer and director of all three of his feature films: Tucker & Dale vs. Evil, Little Evil, and, most recently, Clown in a Cornfield. In 2010, he also directed an episode of Brothers & Sisters, which starred his mom.

Like his older brothers, Sam is a writer and producer. He wrote and produced the short River Rats in 2014. He then wrote, produced, and directed the short After School in 2015. His latest project was penning the 2016 short Dinner With Jeffrey.
Sam is incredibly close to his mother. In a personal essay for People in 2023, he said he’s “always been a momma’s boy.” He was a “shy little kid and my mom was a safe space.”
He wrote, “She has given me the chance to see her as a woman and an artist, always striving to be better, always looking around the next bend, willing to be vulnerable. She’s taught me what it means to have passions, how to dedicate yourself to a craft — to be willing to care, no matter how much you achieve, even if it breaks your heart.”
When Sam came out as gay, his mother “didn’t even bat an eye,” he said in a 2019 speech about his mother, who was receiving the Human Rights Campaign’s Ally for Equality Award. “In fact, she was overjoyed,” he said. “Being gay was just one more thing she loved about me. She couldn’t be more supportive of me; if anything, I wish she was a little less supportive of me.”
During her remarks, Field gushed, “He was always, always Sam. Glorious, smart, funny, sweet Sam. And finally, at 20, long after he beat the crap out of his brothers at tennis and he knew more than anyone about basketball, at 20, he was finally able to stand up proudly and say, ‘I am a gay man.'”
Does Sally Field have grandchildren?
Yes, Field, aka “Grammy,” has five grandchildren. Peter has three children: Isabel, Sophie, and Ogden. Peter shares Isabel and Sophie with his ex-wife, Amy Scattergood. He welcomed Ogden with his second ex-wife, Jennifer DeFrancisco.
Eli has two sons of his own: Noah and Colin. Eli has been married to Sasha Williams, who notably played the Yellow Ranger in Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue, since 2004.
