‘Love Island USA’: Were Kenzie & Dylan Dumped? Why Fans Are Convinced

Love Island USA Season 8 cast members are being dumped from the villa left and right, but that’s the name of the game this close to the finale. (Warning: Spoilers ahead for Episode 29!) After Corbin Mims and Parmida Keshani were sent packing in July 5’s episode, fans are convinced they know which couple is next on the chopping block: Kenzie Annis and Dylan Wrona.
Up-to-date viewers will remember that the public voted Kenzie and Dylan as one of their least favorite couples in Episode 29, but they were safe from elimination after winning the couples’ karaoke challenge. Despite being the newly crowned karaoke queen and king — they performed a rendition of Elton John’s “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart,” which we’ll give them props for thematic relevance — fans think Dylan’s social media points to their elimination.
Apparently, fans have been keeping track of who Zach is following on Instagram. (Of course they are.) This is Love Island USA, where people do background checks on the Islanders like it’s their job. But we digress! On July 4, fans noticed that Dylan is following fellow contestants Jaiden Bacciocco, Sean Reifel, and Zach Georgiou. The screenshots of Dylan’s follower list earned thousands of likes on X shortly after, fueling the theory that Dylan has his phone back. (Remember, there’s a one- to two-day delay between what happens in the villa and what we see on screen.)
As a result, some fans assume Dylan’s been dumped alongside Kenzie, though she doesn’t follow anyone from the cast at this point. We double-checked Dylan’s Instagram, and he still follows those three Islanders’ accounts as of July 6, hours before Episode 30 is set to air and could reveal his and Kenzie’s fate.

It’s worth pointing out that, if Kenzie and Dylan were sent home, it would be an unusually short turnaround between dumpings. Corbin and Parmida were dumped in July 5’s episode, so if Dylan did get his phone back on July 4, that would mean he and Kenzie were sent home only a day after Corbin and Parmida. Then again, as fast as that seems, the finale date is about a week away. But counting Kenzie and Dylan, there are currently five couples in the villa, so that means only one elimination is left before the top four is decided. We imagine the show would wait a little while longer before sending another couple home, but that’s just our take.
As some X users pointed out, it’s also possible Dylan followed Sean and Zach before he came in as a bombshell. After all, they were Day 1 contestants, and Dylan didn’t enter the villa until the Casa Amor segment started in Episode 22. Dylan had his phone and was watching along before his debut. The Jaiden follow is a bit harder to explain, but maybe he simply followed her pre-Season 8. They both went to Arizona State University, with Jaiden graduating earlier this year and Dylan in 2024. It’s certainly possible that their paths crossed or friend groups overlapped, even though it didn’t come up during the show.
