Sidelined 3 is nearing the end zone. Tubi didn’t waste any time after the sequel’s Thanksgiving 2025 premiere, bringing Noah Beck and Siena Agudong back to set months later to film Drayton and Dallas’ final chapter. It’s a good thing, too, after their characters were driven apart by college and didn’t end up together in the previous movie. On August 25, the streamer shared a long-awaited update about the third movie’s premiere, revealed the title, and announced a new cast member.
In Sidelined 3: End Game, Sarah Levy, known for playing Twyla Sands in Schitt’s Creek, will appear as Drayton’s sports agent and PR strategist who wants control over all aspects of her client’s life — including his love life. When will Sidelined 3 be released?
There’s no confirmed release date just yet, but Sidelined 3: End Game will debut this fall.
Tubi also shared a few updates during filming. On May 7, the cast shared a video on social media to reveal not only that the movie had been greenlit, but that production had begun.

Who is in the Sidelined 3 cast?
Beck and Agudong will executive produce and star. Charlie Gillespie is among the returning cast, too. He’ll reprise his role as Skyler, who was introduced in the second movie. Drew Ray Tanner returns as Dallas’ brother. Kolton Stewart reprises his role as Drayton’s USC teammate, alongside Sage Linder, who played Dallas’ college roommate in the sequel. Dallas’ bestie, Gabby, will once again be played by Asia Lizardo. Jason Fernandes will appear as Gabby’s boyfriend and Drayton’s brother, Josh.
Michael Medico (XO, Kitty) is directing the film. He takes over from Justin Wu, who helmed the first two movies. Wu previously told Swooon that he envisioned the first movie as an exploration of what happens after you’ve achieved your dream. “Let’s imagine, for instance, we time jump forward, perhaps five years from now, and Drayton is in the NFL. Dallas perhaps is a movie star. They’ve achieved the dream. Are they satisfied, and are they happy?” he wondered. “It’s less a question about will-they-won’t-they get back together. That, of course, is what we want to see happen, but it’s about the questions that pull them apart or bring them back together.”
What is Sidelined 3 about?
There will indeed be a time jump in Sidelined 3. Two years after Drayton and Dallas end their relationship, they reunite in New York City. USC quarterback Drayton is in town as a Heisman hopeful, but he’s also there for his former high school sweetheart. Dallas is focused on building her new career and navigating her love life alongside Skyler. It looks like Dallas changed her mind after she rejected Skyler in the sequel! Will Drayton recapture the heart of the one who got away?
“It’s going to be really interesting to find that balance of, alright, if they do end up together, I want it to be because they choose each other and not just because it’s that [fairy] tale ending,” Beck told Swooon before the third installment was greenlit. “I think it’s going to be really interesting to play with the writers of how we get our characters to choose one another, as opposed to just being with each other for the convenience.”
What happened at the end of Sidelined 2: Intercepted?
Dallas and Drayton’s story, as fans know by now, began back in 2024 with Sidelined: The QB & Me. It was based on a Wattpad story by Tay Marley, though Sidelined 2: Intercepted moved past the source material. The sequel explores Dallas and Drayton’s lives in college. They struggle to make their relationship work long-distance, so they break up mid-movie. They’re on good terms by the end, with Dallas cheering Drayton on at his first football game since his injury.
Dallas is planning on moving to New York to film a movie, so she uses the opportunity to say goodbye to Drayton. They share a kiss before Dallas asks Drayton if he believes in “right person, wrong time.” Drayton replies, “I’m not sure, but I think what’s meant to be has a way of working itself out.”
