‘Off Campus’ Cast Breaks Down Logan’s Secret Crush on Hannah (VIDEO)

What To Know

  • In the Off Campus Season 1 finale, Logan encourages Garrett to win Hannah back.
  • Antonio Cipriano, who plays Logan, breaks down if Logan still has a crush on Hannah.
  • Belmont Cameli (Garrett) and Ella Bright (Hannah) reveal if their characters clock Logan’s crush.

Hannah Wells (Ella Bright) and Garrett Graham (Belmont Cameli) may get their happy ending in Off Campus Season 1, but we can’t forget about John Logan (Antonio Cipriano) and his unrequited crush. (Warning: Spoilers for Off Campus Season 1 ahead!)

Hannah’s busy falling for his best friend, but she catches Logan’s eye in Season 1. Logan holds his cards close to his chest, but Logan’s sibling, Jules (Julia Sarah Stone), calls out their brother’s pining in Episode 4. By the finale episode, though, Logan and Garrett are in a good spot. Logan even encourages Garrett to fix things with Hannah, admitting that they’re perfect for each other. But how does Logan feel about Hannah at this point?

“He’s trying to be a really good friend,” Cipriano told Swooon. “I think it’s gonna take a second for him to… because he loves deeply, and he yearns deeply. He wants to be a really good friend to Garrett. He’s finally come to an understanding with him after so long of butting heads a little bit, and he wants to support that as much as possible. And whatever it takes to do that, he’s gonna do it for as long as he can.”

When asked whether or not Logan still harbors feelings for Hannah going into Off Campus Season 2, Cipriano responded, “We’ll have to see.” Cipriano’s costar, Jalen Thomas Brooks, quipped in their joint interview, “Once a yearner always a yearner.”

Readers of Elle Kennedy’s Off Campus books, on which the Prime Video series is based, will likely have an idea of Logan’s headspace. Logan becomes the lead character in Kennedy’s The Mistake, which comes right after Hannah and Garrett’s The Deal. In The Deal, Garrett notices Logan looking at Hannah with a longing expression on his face during karaoke, so we asked Cameli if the show version of the character has noticed anything.

In a separate interview with Swooon, Bright and Cameli said that their characters are completely in the dark about Logan’s crush. “No, I think it’s probably — you have to ask Louisa [Levy] —  but intentionally unclear. We’re not clocking it, even though he is standing on business,” Cameli said, earning a laugh out of Bright. “He’ll have his own journey, I think.”

Bright added, “Yeah, I think we’ll get to see more of that as the seasons progress, and as we get to know these characters more. But yeah, as of right now, I’m not sure they realize.”

Cameli pointed out that Hannah and Garrett already have so much going on in Season 1 that Logan’s feelings aren’t even on their radar. “They’re like tunnel vision for everything,” Bright said.

When we pointed out that Logan’s crush could be something to explore going forward, Bright added, “It going to be really fun when we get to that.”
