‘Off Campus’ Season 2: When Filming Starts & Everything Else We Know
What To Know
- Prime Video has renewed Off Campus for a second season before the first season’s premiere.
- The series is based on Elle Kennedy’s college hockey romance novels, which includes five main books.
- The show has revealed several returning cast members and got a filming update in February 2026.
There will be no shortage of TV hockey romances in the foreseeable future. On the heels of Crave’s Heated Rivalry, Prime Video will make its mark on the genre with Off Campus in May 2026. It has something else in common with its fellow book-to-screen adaptation in that it’s already been renewed for Season 2.
When the announcement arrived on February 12, Prime Video uploaded a video of Off Campus creator Louisa Levy sharing the news with the cast. After the Season 1 press tour, Levy told the cast that she’s “gonna put [them] right back on a plane and send [them] back to set” for Season 2.
Until then, you can get a head start in familiarizing yourself with all things Off Campus. The show is based on Elle Kennedy’s college hockey romance series of the same name. Season 1 will adapt her first book, The Deal, which follows music major Hannah (Ella Bright) and superstar hockey player Garrett’s (Belmont Cameli) opposites-attract romance.
But that still leaves the question of what Off Campus Season 2 be about. And when does it come out, for that matter? Swooon has all the latest updates below.
When is Off Campus Season 2’s release date?
Though we know Season 1 is coming in hot in May 2026, the streamer hasn’t shared when Season 2 will premiere — but we do know when filming starts.
In addition to Levy’s comments, Hollywood North Buzz reported that production will run from June to mid-September 2026. It’s pretty much the same timeline that Season 1 had, and so we can likely expect a similar release date for Season 2.

Which couple will Off Campus Season 2 be about?
That’s the big question. If the series follows the order of Kennedy’s books, then The Mistake would be the focus of Season 2. It follows Antonio Cipriano’s John Logan and Grace Ivers’ romance. After Logan has a one-night stand with freshman Grace, Logan mistakenly pushes her away. As he tries to get back in her good graces, Logan has to make hard decisions about his future. Though Logan could pursue an NHL career after college, he has to return home to take care of his troubled father.
“Off Campus captures the kind of emotionally charged, character-driven storytelling that truly resonates with our global Prime Video audience,” Peter Friedlander, Head of Global Television for Amazon MGM Studios, said in a statement. “With its passionate fan base, rich source material, and an incredible creative team bringing Briar U to life, we knew that this series had the depth and momentum to continue beyond its first season.”
He continued, “Set against the high-intensity world of college hockey, the series explores deeply personal journeys and is brought to life by a tremendously talented cast whose chemistry and authenticity make every moment feel real. We have great confidence in the way Louisa has mastered this adaptation, and we’re excited to give fans even more of the romance, friendship, and heart that define the series.”

Who is in the Off Campus Season 2 cast?
Prime Video’s renewal statement confirmed that Bright, Cameli, Abdalla, Kalyn, Cipriano, Jalen Thomas Brooks (Tucker), and Josh Heuston (Justin, Hannah’s crush) are “series regulars.” Only Heuston didn’t appear in the Season 2 announcement video. The statement didn’t mention the return of any of the other confirmed Season 1 cast members.
Further, Grace hasn’t been cast for Season 1, since she doesn’t appear in The Deal. It makes us wonder if Off Campus might switch up the order of the books. The Mistake is followed by The Score (Dean’s book) and The Goal (Tucker’s book). Prime Video has already revealed who’s playing the love interest to Stephen Kalyn‘s Dean: Mika Abdalla.
Dean and Allie’s romance doesn’t happen until the third book, but we’ll get to know both characters in Season 1. Allie is Hannah’s roommate, and Dean is Garrett’s housemate and teammate. We’ll have to wait and see if Off Campus pulls a Bridgerton and changes the order around.
