What To Know

  • Prime Video renewed Off Campus for a second season before the first season’s premiere.
  • India Fowler has been cast as Grace Ivers, Book 2’s lead.
  • Fans are questioning whether Logan and Grace or Allie and Dean will lead the second season.

Season 1 of Off Campus has officially arrived, and we’re already clamoring to get our hands on Season 2! After all, Prime Video made a major Season 2 casting announcement just a week before the series debuted, revealing the actress who will play John Logan’s (Antonio Cipriano) love interest. A short while later, fans got an update on the fate of Justin Kohl (Josh Heuston) in Season 2.

If it wasn’t already clear, Off Campus is moving full steam ahead at Prime Video. The streamer was so confident in the adaptation — the show is based on Elle Kennedy’s bestselling hockey romance series of the same name — that it didn’t even wait until Season 1’s premiere to greenlight Season 2. The new and returning cast will be getting back to work very soon.

Season 1 adapts Kennedy’s first book, The Deal, which depicts music major Hannah (Ella Bright) and superstar hockey player Garrett’s (Belmont Cameli) opposites-attract romance. Each following book is centered around a member of an elite college hockey team and their love interest, all set against the backdrop of the fictional Briar University. Since 2015, Kennedy has written roughly a dozen books within the universe, so there’s plenty of material for Prime Video to use.

Still, a few questions remain: When will Off Campus Season 2 come out? Which couple will it follow? Swooon has all the latest updates below. (Warning: Season 1 spoilers ahead!)

Who has been cast in Off Campus Season 2?

Prime Video’s renewal statement confirmed that Bright, Cameli, Mika Abdalla (Allie), Stephen Kalyn (Dean), Cipriano, and Jalen Thomas Brooks (Tucker) are “series regulars.” However, Heuston didn’t appear in the Season 2 announcement video. The statement didn’t mention the return of any of the other confirmed Season 1 cast members, either.

After the premiere, Louisa Levy revealed that Heuston will not return for Season 2, but could in the future. When asked if Justin Kohl would be coming back, Levy told TV Guide, “Not next season, but I love Josh, and I would not write him off if I can find a way to bring Justin back at some point. We never got a chance to meet Stella, who is the person he ends up with in the book. So maybe we’ll find a way to fold him into a future season. We don’t have him [available] next season, but never say never.”

On April 30, Prime revealed that Logan’s love interest, Grace Ivers, will be played by India Fowler (Fear Street: Prom Queen, The Agency). Deadline teased, “She is a sociology major freshman trying to fit in at Briar University.” She is joined by Phillipa Soo (Hamilton), who will recur as Scarlett, “a theatre artist who is guest directing an original play at the college’s drama department.” We’d guess her path will cross with aspiring actress Allie!

When is Off Campus Season 2’s release date?

Now that we’ve watched (and probably already rewatched) Season 1, fans are eager to find out when Season 2 will drop. That said, the streamer hasn’t shared when Season 2 will premiere, but we do know when filming starts. When the renewal announcement arrived on February 12, Prime Video uploaded a video of Off Campus creator Louisa Levy sharing the news with the cast. After the Season 1 press tour, Levy told the cast that she’s “gonna put [them] right back on a plane and send [them] back to set” for Season 2.

In March 2026, Teen Vogue reported that Cameli and his castmates would be undergoing a two-week hockey bootcamp before Season 2 production starts in June. Further, Hollywood North Buzz reported that production will run from then until mid-September. It’s pretty much the same timeline that Season 1 had, and so we can likely expect a similar release date for Season 2. Hopefully, Off Campus summers will become a thing!

Which couple will Off Campus Season 2 be about?

That’s the big question. If the series follows the order of Kennedy’s books, then Logan’s The Mistake would be the focus of Season 2. After Logan has a one-night stand with freshman Grace Ivers, Logan pushes her away, thinking he has feelings for Hannah.

Eventually, he realizes what he’s missing and tries to get back into Grace’s, well, good graces. All the while, Logan has to make hard decisions about his future. Though he could pursue an NHL career after college, he has to go home to take care of his alcoholic father, whose legs were crushed in an accident. (The show pivoted from the book by putting Logan’s mother in rehab in Season 1.)

That said, Season 1 seems to indicate that Dean and Allie will take the helm, moving up the events of The Score in Season 1. (It falls third in Kennedy’s series.) With the whole Hunter Davenport (Charlie Evans) twist during the final episode, Dean and Allie’s relationship faces many hurdles ahead.

While we hope the adaptation will pick up exactly where we left off, in the middle of the chaos, the Grace Ivers casting has certainly thrown us for a loop. It’s possible the show will continue to interweave storylines. Anything’s possible in the Off Campus universe at this point!
