What is Things We Never Got Over‘s release date?
It was announced that Things We Never Got Over was ordered to series on June 11. The pilot script has already been written, which Score showed in her video celebrating the news. The show doesn’t have an official release date yet, but it’ll likely premiere in late 2027 or 2028.

Who is making Things We Never Got Over?
Eric Charmelo and Nicole Snyder wrote the pilot and will helm the series as showrunners and executive producers. They were writers for several seasons of Supernatural and created The CW’s Ringer. They also served as co-executive producers on Midnight, Texas. The executive producing team is rounded out by Gina Girolamo and Score herself.
“Things We Never Got Over has everything we love in great television: an irresistible enemies-to-lovers romance, quirk, comedy, and a community you never want to leave,” the writing duo said, per Variety. “Lucy Score built a wildly passionate fanbase around these characters, and we’re excited to introduce the world of Knockemout to Prime Video audiences everywhere.”
Who is in the Things We Never Got Over cast?
Though it can be assumed that casting will start in the near future, no actors have been attached yet to play Naomi, Knox, and more. But Score has assured fans that the show is being steered in the right direction.
“I feel so lucky that this career has put me in the company of so many brilliant, generous storytellers,” the author said, per Variety. “I’m thrilled that Gina, Eric, and Nicole, as well as the incredibly talented writers, are bringing Things We Never Got Over to life. Readers can rest assured that the characters we all love so deeply on the page are in the best possible hands to be brought to life on screen.”
What is Things We Never Got Over about?
The logline will sound familiar to readers: “Runaway bride Naomi Witt heads from the altar straight into trouble when her estranged twin sister, Tina, calls her to small-town-Virginia, steals her car, phone, and purse and leaves Naomi stranded in an unfamiliar town with a teenage niece in her care and a grouchy but very sexy local who turns out to be her knight in tattooed armor.” Get ready for the grumpy-sunshine trope at its finest!
Will Prime Video adapt the other Knockemout books?
As Score fans know, there are two more books in the Knockemout series, Things We Hide from the Light and Things We Left Behind. Both follow different couples, but they’re interconnected and have a crime mystery throughline. At this point, it’s not clear if Prime Video will adapt the other books in future seasons akin to Bridgerton, or go the Off Campus route and weave the couples’ romances together.
