How did Taylor Parker fake her pregnancy?
While Taylor Parker told her boyfriend of less than six months, Wade Griffin, that she was pregnant in 2019, those closest to her knew that she’d had a hysterectomy years prior. Still, Parker told Griffin’s entire family that they were due on September 22, 2020. Court evidence revealed that Taylor fabricated over nine months of a pregnancy through online research. Her search history included “order cheap pregnancy silicone belly,” “newborn adoptions,” “how to find a birth mother,” and, the most jarring of all, “video of c-section.”
After her faux due date passed, Parker committed a heinous crime. On October 9, the same day that Parker claimed to have given birth, her friend, Reagan Simmons-Hancock, who was 35 weeks pregnant, was found murdered with her unborn baby cut out of her.
Who was Reagan Simmons-Hancock?
Reagan Simmons-Hancock was a 21-year-old mother who shared a three-year-old daughter, Kynlee, with her husband, Homer Hancock. Parker and Simmons-Hancock became fast friends after Parker served as Simmons-Hancock’s engagement and wedding photographer in September 2019. By the time Parker claimed her baby was due, Simmons-Hancock was 35 weeks along with her own pregnancy.
Parker and Simmons-Hancock spent the day together on October 7, and two days later, Simmons-Hancock’s mother, Jessica, noticed that she had stopped answering her phone. When her mother arrived at the house, she found Simmons-Hancock had been murdered. Later, the police discovered “Reagan had suffered 15 stab wounds and 98 incised wounds, and her unborn baby had been cut out of her.” Her baby, later named Braxlynn, was abducted and died soon after.

Are Taylor Parker and Wade Griffin still together?
No, Parker and Griffin are no longer together. While Griffin stood by Parker’s side, believing that she was pregnant despite his family’s apprehension, he ended their relationship when she was arrested. In the documentary, he shared, “I didn’t really have no words for nothing at that point. It was unimaginable what she did.”

After getting charged with capital murder, Taylor Parker became the youngest woman on death row in Texas. Today, she remains on death row but has yet to receive an execution date.
Where is Wade Griffin today?
Griffin has remained mostly private aside from his appearance in Maternal Instinct. He revealed in court during his testimony that he lost his job due to his connection to Parker. He explained, “[It] pretty much ruined my whole reputation. Slandered my name, my brothers, my mom. I lost my job over it. Still trying to figure out stuff today.
