‘Bachelor in Paradise’: Are Kylee Russell & Aven Jones Still Together?
At the end of Bachelor in Paradise Season 9 in 2023, three couples left the beach together, including Kylee Russell and Aven Jones. While Kylee and Aven didn’t get engaged on the show, they did leave in a relationship and made plans to see what would happen in the real world.
They stayed together for several months, but right after the finale aired in December 2023, they revealed that they had broken up. The relationship was on-and-off after that.
But where do Kylee and Aven stand now? It’s now been three years since their time on the beach, and she recently gave an update about their relationship today. Scroll down for more.
Are Kylee Russell and Aven Jones still together?
No, Kylee and Aven are no longer together. She confirmed their breakup during a June 2026 appearance on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast. “Aven and I are no longer together,” she shared. “I think I’m OK with that. Actually, I know I’m OK with that.”
She hinted that the breakup is for good this time, adding, “I think it’s time to officially close that chapter and move on and actually find my person.”
However, this is not the first time they’ve split. After their initial December 2023 breakup, Kylee and Aven were back together the following year, and she moved to San Diego to be with him. They broke up again later that year, then reconciled in 2025.
“We moved in together,” Kylee revealed. “Life was truly starting to unravel, and I saw myself having a future with him, having babies, getting married, doing all the things.” In the end, things didn’t work out, and they ended the relationship just over a year later.
Why did Kylee Russell and Aven Jones split?
The first time Kylee and Aven broke up it was because she found out he was allegedly unfaithful to her. She wound up taking him back after he “[did] the work” and started going to therapy.
The 2024 breakup was Aven’s doing. “We had a big tough conversation with him expressing to me, ‘Hey, I’m doing all of this. I want this to work, but I still feel like you’re holding back. I don’t know if this is going to work anymore,'” Kylee revealed. “I don’t really want to speak for him but basically what he had to say was some days he felt he would wake up and he would think he had such great hopes for us, think we would get to where we needed to be to have a forever future together. Other days he woke up and he was just like, ‘There’s much damage that I have done personally, I don’t think our relationship will ever recover from that.'”
The most recent breakup, though, was due to Kylee and Aven realizing their visions for the future weren’t aligned, and they couldn’t agree where they wanted to live to raise a family together.
“I’m a big family girl. I love the East Coast and Aven has created a life for himself in San Diego,” Kylee explained. “I want to be close to my family, and that’s not something that he was wanting. Unfortunately, we just couldn’t come to terms with that.”
How did Kylee Russell and Aven Jones meet?
When Kylee and Aven arrived in Paradise, they already had their eyes on each other, sparking speculation that they had actually met prior to filming. However, Kylee insisted that they did not meet in person for the first time until they were on the beach in Mexico.
However, the two had done some social media flirting before production began. They liked each other’s posts, and Aven even commented on one of Kylee’s pictures with a fire emoji, but never had any in-person interactions.
“Aven and I never met prior to walking on the beach,” Kylee shared on The Viall Files in 2024. “That second day I was there, that was the first time we were face to face in the same place.”
