Ree Drummond’s Daughter Paige Says It Was ‘Awful’ Not Living With Husband Pre-Marriage

The Drummond family continues to offer an inside look at Paige Drummond and David Andersen’s Oklahoma nuptials in a three-part wedding series, and the couple revealed what it was like to be in a long-distance relationship before getting married.
Leading up to their wedding, Drummond lived on Ree and Ladd Drummond’s family ranch in Oklahoma, while Andersen was based in Dallas. They never lived together before saying “I do,” which was “hard” on them at times.
“Doing long distance for the past two years just makes us so excited to get married and be in the same place, but like, we’re going to be living together. That’ll be interesting,” Drummond said. “We haven’t lived together because obviously we’re going to wait for that until after we’re married.”
The 26-year-old Drummond admitted that “the longer we’ve been together, and the longer our engagement has gone on, the more awful it is to just keep being like, ‘Alright, see ya. See ya next week.’ It just stinks.” While it was “bittersweet” leaving the family ranch, Drummond was thrilled about finally being able to live with her now-husband. (They are now based in Dallas, where Andersen works.)
“It took a lot of sacrifices on weekends where we kind of gave up stuff to be with each other on weekends whenever we could to see each other. There were some times where we would go a month without seeing each other. It was really hard sometimes,” Andersen said.
Drummond laughed that their dating story is “funny,” but their “meeting story is even funnier, but that’s a story for another time. We’re just really excited to be together and start our lives.”
The couple got married on May 17, 2025. In the video series, the Drummond family has taken viewers inside the building of the reception space and the intimate rehearsal dinner the night before Drummond and Andersen’s big day.
