‘Dancing With the Stars’: Witney Carson Reveals Summer Plans With Husband & Kids

Witney Carson is staying booked and busy. In addition to working as a professional dancer on Dancing With the Stars, running a fitness app, and growing her online brand as an influencer, Witney is also a dedicated wife to husband Carson McAllister and mom to sons Leo and Jet.
The list of pros returning to DWTS this fall has not been confirmed yet, but fans are expecting Witney as part of the cast, which means she’ll have to return to the rigorous schedule of rehearsals and show days this fall. Until then, she’s mixing work and play this summer.
“This summer we’re really busy,” Witney told Swooon. “We’re really busy. The kids have sports camps. We have a trip to Utah, to Idaho. We have some work stuff in D.C., in Canada. So a lot of travel for this summer. We’re going to try and mix in some fun in there, but it’s mostly work. If it’s something for work, we always try to make something fun for the kids so they can experience life and travel.”
Last year, that included a trip to Australia to visit Witney’s Season 34 DWTS partner (and Mirrorball champion) Robert Irwin. “Robert just gave us the full Australia Zoo experience,” she dished. “I mean, we did everything VIP. Robert is, like, their hero. My 3-year-old, he pretends that he’s Robert, but his shirt has to be off because that’s what Robert will do. And I’m like, ‘I’ve made a monster.’ Next time he’s going to be ripping his shirt open. But yeah, my kids absolutely adore him. So he’s definitely going to be in our lives forever. Sorry, Robert, you’re stuck with us!”
Witney and her family relocated from Utah to Florida in 2023. While they’re staying put for now, she’s unsure whether it’s going to be their forever home.
“I’m from Utah, and I love Utah. And I think that we’ll go back at some point,” Witney admitted. “And the dream is to have two places where we can see my family [in Utah] and also be in Florida. But we love where we’re at right now. So we’re just going to go with it. We just go year by year. My family just goes year by year. Things change all the time for us. So we’re going with the flow.”
