TLC’s newest series, Double Lives of Suburban Wives, takes viewers behind the closed doors of six St. Louis couples’ lives. While these cast members may seem like typical families on the surface, the reality show actually follows their not-so-secret careers in adult content creation.
Ahead of the premiere, cast members Tammy and Heather sat down with Swooon to tease the wild events of Season 1 and introduce the full cast to potential viewers. While the trailer for the series alone has had everyone “buzzing,” Tammy urged TLC’s viewers to “keep an open mind.” She explained, “I already have people that are commenting, ‘This just seems like this other show,’ and, ‘They’re trying to do this.'”
She continued, “I am telling you, obviously, I lived it with these six couples, but it’s going to be a wild ride. I think it’s going to blow people’s minds what they think they know and what they actually [find out].”
As Tammy put it, showcasing every aspect of their lives, not just what they share online, has been “a learning experience.” She revealed, “I went into it very, very open-minded and just enjoying the opportunity to do something on this scale.”
According to Heather, she joined the show after Tammy reached out to her. She told Swooon, “I got a text from Tammy, and she was like, ‘Hey, we got reached out to, and they want to do this show about this. Would you be interested in being a part of it?’ And at first, I was kind of like, ‘I don’t know about that.’ And I told my husband, and he was like, ‘Why don’t we just do it?'” Before joining the show, nobody in Heather’s family knew about her side hustle.

When asked to describe her fellow cast members, Tammy revealed that she finds Heather “quiet and shy, but like very sweet and very wholesome.” At the same time, Heather explained that she has a closer relationship with Tammy than she does with any other cast member.
Both Tammy and Heather are close with fellow cast member Macy as well. Tammy explained, “She is very open about her faith and her struggle with that.” According to Heather, Macy was the second cast member she met after Tammy. Heather revealed, “We met at a content house together.” For her online content, Macy wears a blonde wig and sunglasses to stay anonymous.
Ahead of the season, Brianna and Megan were very close. “They were both teachers that lost their jobs,” due to their spicy careers, Tammy said. While Heather met Megan later on, she considers her one of her closest friends in the group. On the other hand, she met Brianna most recently. She noted, “We’re still really getting to know each other throughout everything.”
The final member of their group is Emily, who “hadn’t really worked with a whole lot of other creators yet.” According to Tammy, she and her husband “are very known in the St. Louis area for being the leaders and helping people that want to get into [adult] content.” She revealed, “We try our very best in this community to raise everybody up. Rising tide raises all ships is our motto, and we try to bring along those that believe that as well.”
Looking forward to the season ahead, Tammy explained, “I think at the beginning everybody is a little hesitant. They’re not sure how things are going to go.” Now, she can confirm that they made a “banger”— pun intended — of a first season. She teased, “Stay tuned, everybody. Buckle in. It’s going to be crazy.”
