‘Let’s Marry Harry’ Cast Reveals Shocking Behind-the-Scenes Details

After the August 5 premiere of Let’s Marry Harry, the series cast took to social media to reveal a major twist fans didn’t see onscreen.
According to multiple cast members, including Rickiyah McGrady, Mya Benway, and Elli Schryver, Harry’s soon-to-be fiancées had no idea they would be engaged to the Netflix heartthrob at the start of the season. They expected the show would end in an engagement, not a wedding. They didn’t even know Harry Jowsey was the lead!
On TikTok, Rickiyah explained, “Did you know that about half of the girls who were on Let’s Marry Harry did not know that Harry Jowsey was the man that they were going to be engaged to and possibly marrying when they were originally cast for a dating show?”
Mya and Elli dove a little deeper into their experience and revealed the first day of filming took 18 hours. Mya shared, “We were all sequestered in groups of three or four. We had no idea what was about to go on. So one by one we had to walk down a path, and they just said, ‘At the end of this path there’s going to be something, and feel free to take as long a time as you need [to] take in your reaction.” As viewers know, their engagement rings were at the end of the path.
“No thought crossed my mind that it would be an engagement ring,” Mya confessed. “I thought it was like at the end; that’s when you get engaged. We were all engaged to Harry Jowsey.” Elli added, “[With] our dream ring that we told the producers during casting that if we’re the one at the end, ‘This is the engagement ring I want.'”

While many have theorized that those engagement rings were fake, Emma Piotrowski shared on TikTok, “Guys, I hate to break it to you. They were super real. Not only were they super real, they were so beautiful. And, actually, I had the best one.” She explained, “Before we started filming, production asked us what our dream engagement ring would be. All the girls got beautiful rings… Because I’m different, when they said, ‘What is your dream engagement ring?’ all I put was ‘funky.'” Watch her video below to see her ring!

Funky or otherwise, these unique rings all came from Ring Concierge. While everyone got a taste of their dream ring, the cast has made it clear that they had to return their ring when they were sent home.
