‘Below Deck Med’: Are Cooper Dawson & Kat Johnston Still Together?
A romance is blossoming on Season 11 of Below Deck Mediterranean. Sparks have been flying between Cooper Dawson and Katrina “Kat” Johnston all season long.
Cooper works as a deckhand on the Akira Bravado, while Kat is a stewardess. And while Cooper came to the show with no previous yachting experience, he did hint from the get-go that having fun was on his priority list during filming.
“It’s the most secretly unprofessional industry,” he teased. “We put on masks for the guests, but as soon as they’re gone, we’re just a bunch of modern-day sailors looking for a drink and a good time.”

While the exact status of Cooper and Kat’s romantic relationship is unclear, all signs point to them still being together. Cooper appeared on Watch What Happens Live in July and had a big smile on his face as he revealed, “Me and Kat talk all the time.”
During the same episode, Cooper passed on answering a question about who he’s attracted to in the Bravoverse, seemingly out of respect for his relationship with Kat.

Fans have also taken the pair’s social media activity into account and noted that they made a joint post to promote their first date episode of Below Deck Med. They’ve also noticed friendly encounters between the two on Instagram, seemingly hinting that things are still progressing between them.
How did Cooper Dawson and Kat Johnston meet?
Cooper and Kat met while filming Below Deck Mediterranean. She is from Nova Scotia, Canada, while he is from South Carolina, and their paths did not cross before the show.
While filming the show, Cooper took Kat on a first date off the ship. Things soon hit a snag when she got mad at him for ignoring her and spending his time talking to strangers instead on their night out, but they were able to get past it.
