Regency romance lovers far and wide have fallen in love with Seeking Persephone. In Season 1, Persephone Lancaster (Ryann Bailey) saves her family from financial ruin by accepting the proposal of Duke Adam Boyce of Kielder (Jake Stormoen), whom she’s never met and is known as “the most feared man in England.” Of course, their arranged marriage turns into a real romance, as it does in Sarah M. Eden’s novel of the same name.
The future of the series, which is streaming now on Passionflix, was revealed months after its March 2026 premiere. “After bringing Seeking Persephone to screens all over the world, we’re thrilled to announce that the Lancaster story is continuing,” Eden said in an August 10 Instagram video. “We are moving forward with Season 2 and 3.”
Stormoen, who was also featured in the announcement video, added that “you haven’t seen the last of the Lancasters or the Duke of Kielder just yet. What is Seeking Persephone Season 2’s premiere date?
No release date has been revealed yet, but Eden shared an update via an August 11 Instagram video. “Getting to continue a series like this for a second season, let alone a second and third is huge… But it’s also complicated and there’s lots of moving parts and lots of things to get into place,” she said, promising to keep fans updated on Season 2’s progress. “It was great sharing as much of Season 1 production as we could with you and we’re looking forward to doing that again.”

What will Seeking Persephone Season 2 be about?
Eden has written five books in her Lancaster Family series, each of which focuses on a different Lancaster sibling. In the announcement video, Eden said Season 2 will adapt Courting Miss Lancaster, while Season 3 will follow Romancing Daphne. “I had the opportunity to write these adaptations myself,” she added.
Courting Miss Lancaster follows Persephone’s younger sister, Athena, and her love interest, Harry Windover. Harry, who has no money to his name, has no hope of winning over a noblewoman like Athena. To make matters worse, the Duke asks Harry to help find Athena a match, but he comes up with a plan: only introduce her to suitors who are either boring, rude, or ridiculous. Meanwhile, Athena thinks he’s found a friend in Harry. But how long can Harry keep his scheme hidden from her?
Who is in the Seeking Persephone Season 2 cast?
Catherine Hannay, who portrays Athena in Season 1, is expected to reprise her role. Toby-Alexander Smith is also expected to return as Harry. “Erm…ok,” he commented on the Season 2 announcement post. “@jakestormoen looks like I need your trainer.”
