Mel Owens and Peg Munson have been going strong since meeting on The Golden Bachelor in 2025. While many fans doubted this relationship would last after Owens chose not to propose to Munson during the finale, the two have beaten the odds and recently celebrated a major milestone in their romance.
Munson marked the special occasion with an Instagram post on August 13, which included a video of her and Owens reflecting on their time on the dating show.
“Cheers to one year!” Munson captioned the post, later noting that it was the one-year anniversary of her and Owens’ fantasy suite date. “There’s definitely a lot to look back on!” Munson admitted. “From that unforgettable chapter to everything that came after, we’re just feeling grateful for the memories, the laughs, and the journey.”

She concluded her message by adding, “Here’s to one year and plenty more fun ahead!”
In the video, Munson and Owens toasted to “happiness, health, and fun.” The pair also shared a kiss and looked back on the fantasy suites, with Owens recalling, “This is where I divulged all my inner thoughts to you.”
This prompted Munson to call him out. “You had no inner thoughts,” she insisted. “No, you did not. You were very observant with all of us, which was nice. I appreciated that. You’re a good listener. You’re an attorney, so you have to listen.”
Owens said he was having “private thoughts” throughout the process, although he didn’t share them with anyone on the show. “I did a little bit, but I wasn’t going to be so much outward because there was 23 women,” he explained. “You gotta be fair to everybody. To be fair, there’s a process.”
Munson accepted that and noted that Owens had to “get to know everybody” before making a decision. However, he assured her, “I knew it was you, though.” After another cheers, Munson told viewers, “We’re here, we’re happy, it’s real.”
