Six years ago, Season 6 of Bachelor in Paradise premiered. The show was in its prime. The post-Stagecoach drama was at an all-time high. Chris Bukowski was giving it his fifth shot on a Bachelor Nation dating show.

Three couples made it to the end of filming that season, and three others continued dating after the cameras turned off. And while some of these relationships didn’t last in the years since, others have thrived. In fact, two happily married couples have come out of the show’s sixth season!

Bachelor in Paradise has changed quite a bit in the since 2019. In fact, the show even took a hiatus during summer 2024 before returning with a new format (which includes a cash prize twist) this year.

But today, it’s all about Season 6. Scroll down for a refresher on which couples are still together and which couples split after the show.

Status: Split

Tayshia Adams and John Paul Jones were one of Paradise’s most unlikely pairs that summer. They split before filming ended, but after getting home, Adams realized she wanted to give things another shot with Jones. She flew to his home in Maryland, and he agreed to try things out.

At the reunion in September 2019, the two were still together, but she announced their breakup the following month.

“The reality was, we were living on opposite coasts, and working insane schedules that made it impossible to see each other and build a life with each other,” Adams shared in a now-deleted post. “We truly did the best we could, but at this time have decided that what is best for the both of us is to go our separate ways.”

Dean Unglert and Caelynn Miller-Keyes hit it off on the beach, but he ended up breaking up with her on her birthday. After leaving the show, Unglert had a change of heart and wound up returning to try and win Miller-Keyes back.

She agreed to give him another shot, and they left the show together in Week 5. Four years later, they tied the knot in September 2023. Since then, they’ve been open about wanting to start a family but have been struggling on their fertility journey.

Status: Split

Connor Saeli and Whitney Fransway met at Chris Randone and Krystal Nielson’s wedding, which was filmed during Season 6 of BiP. At the time, Saeli was already a contestant on the show, but Fransway had not arrived on the beach yet.

Since Saeli had not formed a connection with anyone else, he decided to leave the show… only for Fransway to arrive the following week. After she learned Saeli had left, she showed up at his hotel room, and they decided to pursue a relationship.

However, right after the finale, Saeli and Fransway confirmed they had broken up.

“We rushed into a relationship and we realized that we just weren’t connecting anymore,” Saeli told People. “We almost skipped over those beginning of relationship steps, like really getting to know each other. We were basically thrown into a long distance relationship, and the fact that we had to be private about it (as the show was airing) made it even harder.”

Katie Morton and Chris Bukowski were one of the couples to get engaged at the final rose ceremony, but they split just three months later in December 2019.

“We’ve reached a point in our story where we agree it’s best to go our separate ways,” Bukowski shared on Instagram. “We have chosen to love and respect each other as friends because that’s the base of our relationship, and it’s what is most natural for us.”

Status: Split

Demi Burnett and Kristian Haggerty were the first same-sex couple on a Bachelor Nation show. Burnett proposed to Haggerty during the Season 6 finale, but they broke up the following month.

Burnett later admitted that she and her ex “definitely” wouldn’t have gotten engaged if it wasn’t for the show.

“I wasn’t as good to her as she was to me,” Burnett shared. “I was kind of distant. I was overwhelmed, I was freaked out.” In the end, she said she just “wasn’t feeling it anymore.”
