Dearest reader, the latest trailer for the second half of Bridgerton‘s fourth season has arrived, and it’s delivering forbidden love, dramatic confessions, the return of Kanthony, and so much more.
Set to arrive on Thursday, February 26, the latest chapter of Netflix‘s Shondaland hit sees Sophie (Yerin Ha) faced with a tough decision after Benedict’s (Luke Thompson) offer to have her become his mistress. While she’s determined to break old patterns in her own family history, Benedict looks to the marriages of his siblings for inspiration on how to win her over and maybe shift his own perspective on what his next chapter with Sophie might look like, considering their class difference.
In addition to releasing the thrilling trailer, Netflix also dropped a new poster, which places Benedict and Sophie on a set of stairs, once again reiterating their different places in society, as he hails from a noble family, and she remains a maid. While Benedict’s affections are torn between Sophie and the Lady in Silver, whom he met at his mother’s masquerade ball at the start of the season, will he be able to see them as one figure before it’s too late? This is the question Season 4’s Part 2 trailer poses, but not the only thing it reveals.

Kanthony is back
After missing Season 2’s leading couple in Part 1, Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate (Simone Ashley) are back in the Ton following their time in India. Based on the snippet we see of the couple together, fans can expect a baby reveal as well, allowing viewers a chance to see the duo as parents… finally!
Netflix
A new Bridgerton baby meets the family
It appears that the aforementioned baby of Kate and Anthony is going to meet the rest of the family as Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) and Violet (Ruth Gemmell) fawn over a brunette baby, in other words, not the redheaded baby Elliot we met earlier in the season, belonging to Penelope and Colin (Luke Newton).
Netflix
Covert conversations
Considering Benedict and Sophie’s predicament of feeling strongly for one another without the ability to publicly act on it means there’s room for charged moments as they connect in a crowded room. This quick scene points out the careful ways he has to seek her out, considering her apparent refusal to be his mistress.
Netflix
Brotherly advice
It seems that Benedict will be getting some advice from his big brother Anthony, whether it’s in encouragement of his romance with Sophie or not remains to be seen. After all, we know how Anthony values the family’s image, even if he’s had his own bumpy road to romance in the past. Can he support Benedict, or will he draw a line further separating him from Sophie? We’ll have to wait to find out.
Netflix
Love Confessions
Sure, Benedict’s speech on the stairs in Part 1’s final episode was pretty great, up until the “be my mistress” delivery, but it seems that the real love confession of the season is close as he declares that Sophie is all he thinks about. Needless to say, we’re swooning already.
Netflix
Francesca in black
Francesca (Hannah Dodd) appears to be sporting a black dress in this quick shot from the trailer, making us wonder if she’ll be in mourning during Part 2. For fans of Julia Quinn’s books, there’s the looming threat of her husband John’s (Victor Alli) death, but we’re not sure the show would go that far quite yet. Still, the black is certainly noteworthy, as we don’t often see the Bridgertons in anything but pastels and bright colors.
Netflix
The bath scene
In Quinn’s book An Offer From a Gentleman, Benedict memorably gives Sophie a bath, and it’s a rather steamy sequence. This quick cut to a foot descending into water seems to confirm what a prior teaser hinted at, which is that fans will be getting some form of the scene. Can it outdo the staircase moment from Part 1’s final episode? We’re eager to find out.
Netflix
More Franchaela
Since it was revealed that Bridgerton would be setting Francesca up with Michaela (Masali Baduza), a gender swapped version of Michael from the books, fans have been eager to see how their dynamic might unravel. This quick tease promises fans will get to see more of the ladies crossing paths and possibly becoming closer as Season 4 unfolds.
Netflix
Violet's romance
After engaging in a secret affair with Lord Anderson (Daniel Francis) by the end of Part 1, it seems that their connection will continue as Part 2 unfolds. Will they be able share their affection for one another publicly? We’re curious to learn what it could mean for Violet and her family dynamic if Lord Anderson were to be more directly incorporated into the household.
Netflix
Bridgerton House sexy shenanigans
While Sophie seemed to decline Benedict’s initial offer, this shot of them kissing while she’s in her maid’s uniform suggests they’ll be getting up to some romantic shenanigans within the Bridgerton household. Can you say scandalous?
