Kate Hudson & Javier Bardem Stop Traffic With Steamy Rom-Com Kiss (PHOTOS)
Kate Hudson and Javier Bardem literally stopped traffic on the set of their upcoming rom-com, Hello & Paris.
On June 23, Hudson and Bardem shared a passionate kiss in the middle of a New York City street. The two are hard at work on their new film, which is a loose adaptation of Deborah McKinlay’s 2014 novel That Part Was True. Writer-director Elizabeth Chomko brings the story, which is described as “in the vein of Sleepless in Seattle, When Harry Met Sally, and You’ve Got Mail,” to life for Prime Video.
Hudson and Bardem play two characters who have a not-so-cute first meeting in Paris. One is a fiercely independent landscape architect, while the other is a crisis-ridden bestselling novelist. From different continents, the two bond as they exchange books and recipes —”only to discover that the one thing harder than being alone might be choosing not to be,” according to its logline. It also stars Phil Dunster (Ted Lasso), Steve Zahn (The White Lotus), Gemma Chan (Crazy Rich Asians), Aisling Bea, and Marianne Jean-Baptiste.
Unsurprisingly, it looks like the two have a happy, romantic reunion. Hudson and Barden are no stranger to the rom-com beat, with the former having starred in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and Something Borrowed and the latter in Vicky Cristina Barcelona and Eat Pray Love. They’re also familiar with getting that cinematic rom-com kiss, flexing their skills on the streets of New York.
In one photo, Hudson and Bardem lock lips during golden hour, which looks so stunning that we can’t help but hope it makes it into the final cut of the movie. In another, Bardem literally sweeps Hudson off her feet.
Though we don’t know yet when the rom-com will be available to stream, these set photos already have us counting down the days. Let us know how excited you are for Hello & Paris in the comments section at the end of the page!
