Your ‘Off Campus’ Character Map: All the Romances & Connections, Explained
[Warning: The following contains MAJOR spoilers for Elle Kennedy’s Off Campus book series and potential spoilers for the Prime Video adaptation.]
Welcome to Briar University, where love stories are interconnected and collegiate hockey is incredibly hot.
On February 24, 2015, Canadian author Elle Kennedy published her first (of many) hockey romances, The Deal. Following the unlikely connection between hockey superstar Garrett Graham and music major Hannah Wells, The Deal set off Kennedy’s viral Off Campus universe. Ten years later, Garrett, played by Belmont Cameli, and Hannah, played by Ella Bright, are headed to the small screen!
Ahead of the Off-Campus‘ debut on Prime Video, we’re breaking down all of the character relationships from Kennedy’s The Deal, The Mistake, The Score, and The Goal. Below you can find the main characters of every book and how they are connected to the rest of the gang. Plus, check out pictures of all of the characters that have been cast so far.

Off Campus Character Map
At the heart of the Off Campus series lies the Briar University hockey team. During the first novel, the team’s captain and star forward, Garrett Graham (Cameli), takes center stage. In The Mistake, defense player John Logan (Antonio Cipriano) takes the baton, leading the second novel. Logan is followed by fellow defenseman and Book #3, The Score lead Dean Heyward-Di Laurentis (Stephen Kalyn). Rounding out the male leads is another forward, John Tucker (Jalen Thomas Brooks), who concludes the series as MMC in The Goal. Beyond the hockey team, Dean and Tucker are besties with Briar U’s quarterback, Beau Maxwell (Khobe Clarke).
During The Deal, Garrett falls hard and fast for his classmate/begrudging tutor, Hannah Wells (Bright). The first novel also introduces Hannah’s best friend, Allie Hayes (Mika Abdalla), who later goes on to date Dean in The Score. When we first meet Allie, she’s dating Sean (not pictured), who plays on the baseball team. At this point, we haven’t heard anything about Sean making an appearance in the TV series, so we left him off our map this time around.
At this time, both Logan’s love interest, Grace Ivers, and Tucker’s love interest, Sabrina James, have yet to be cast in the show. Grace and Sabrina aren’t in the first novel. Instead, Grace is introduced in The Mistake, and Sabrina is introduced during The Score as Dean’s academic rival before she dates Tucker in The Goal.
Aside from close friendships, rivalries, and romantic relationships, we’ve also factored in two major crushes within the Off Campus universe: Hannah’s crush on footballer Justin Kohl (Josh Heuston) during The Deal, and Logan’s crush on Hannah before he meets Grace. It’s important to note that while Justin likely remains the catalyst behind the titular deal in Hannah and Garrett’s love story, he appears to be a musician, not an athlete, in the adaptation.
Hannah & Garrett
The Deal follows Hannah and Garrett, an unlikely duo who strike up a (you guessed it) deal in which Hannah will tutor Garrett in return for him fake dating her to earn her some attention from her real crush, Justin.
Grace & Logan
After witnessing Hannah and Garrett’s relationship take flight, Garrett’s yearning bestie, Logan, convinces himself that he has a crush on Hannah and decides to distract himself with Grace, a freshman at Briar. But — uh-oh — he makes a major mistake with Grace just as he realizes that she is more than a fling.
Allie & Dean
After Allie breaks up with her boyfriend, Sean, for what she swears to be the last time, she turns to her bestie’s boyfriend’s roommate, womanizer Dean, to hold her accountable while everyone else is away. Surely they won’t hook up and hide it from everyone…
Sabrina & Tucker
At the end of The Score, Tucker reveals that he’s having a baby with Dean’s pre-law rival, Sabrina. After one steamy night turns both of their lives on their heads, Tucker strives to earn Sabrina’s trust — and her love.
