‘The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On’ Season 3 Relationship Updates: Which 2 Couples Left?

Fresh off the heels of the wild seventh season of Love Is Blind, The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On returned for Season 3 on December 4. Six different couples are at defining moments in their relationships. One partner is ready to get married, but the other isn’t so sure.
After one partner issues an Ultimatum, the couples date other people in the experiment for one week. They each choose a new partner to live with for three weeks in a trial marriage, and then they have to do the same thing with their original partner. At the end of the experiment, the partners have to decide if they’re ready to get married or say goodbye.
In the first five episodes, a number of shocking developments unfolded. Two of the original couples secretly met up and abruptly left the experiment.

Chanel and Micah
Status: Left the experiment together
Chanel receives the Ultimatum from Micah. During the experience, Chanel decides to date Dave, while Micah pairs up with Mariah for the trial marriage. Just days into the experiment, Chanel and Dave meet up with Micah and Vanessa off-camera. All four of them decide to leave the experiment.
Dave and Vanessa
Status: Left the experiment together
Dave receives the Ultimatum from Vanessa. After dating the other contestants, Dave enters a trial marriage with Chanel, while Vanessa goes with Nick. They leave the experiment together (as do Chanel and Micah) just a few days after their trial marriage starts.
J.R. and Zaina
Status: Undetermined
J.R. gets the Ultimatum from Zaina and really goes all-in with the experiment. After matching up with Sandy, J.R. doesn’t hold back. They form an instant connection, one of the strongest of the new couples. However, when Nick’s match, Vanessa, leaves him alone in the experiment, he begins contacting Sandy. At the end of Episode 5, J.R. is unsure about whether or not he’ll leave the experiment with Zaina, Sandy, or alone.
As for Zaina, her match with Scotty starts off well. However, in the final days of the trial marriage, things begin to shift. Scotty and Zaina argue over date nights and Zaina eating without him. While speaking with Sandy, Zaina admits that she’s realized she needs J.R. to vocalize affirmations to her.
Sandy and Nick
Status: Undetermined
Sandy receives the Ultimatum with Nick. Once Nick is left alone following Vanessa’s departure, he starts to think about his relationship with Sandy. He reaches out to her consistently, which upsets Sandy, who is trying to take the trial marriage with J.R. seriously. Sandy and J.R. do kiss, but that seems to be the extent of their physical relationship.
During her chat with Zaina, Sandy stresses that she doesn’t want anything more with J.R. She tells Zaina there’s “nothing between us other than we are trying to get the most out this experiment for one another.”
Caleb and Mariah
Status: Undetermined
Caleb receives the Ultimatum from Mariah and chooses to be in a trial marriage with Aria. Meanwhile, Mariah is left alone when Dave exits the experiment with Vanessa. She takes the experiment day-by-day and bonds with Nick, who has also been left solo.
During a chat with the other guys in the experiment, Caleb stresses to Scotty that he just has a friendship with Aria and nothing more. However, Aria admits that she has “emotionally developed a connection” with Caleb.
Aria and Scotty
Status: Undetermined
Aria receives the Ultimatum from Scotty and enters the trial marriage stage of the experiment with Caleb. Aria and Caleb have a fun, easygoing dynamic, but it stays firmly in friendship territory. Scotty and Zaina start off strong in their trial marriage, but a squabble over Zaina eating without him and not seeing eye-to-eye on date ideas changes the mood between them.
