‘The Vampire Diaries’ Cast Has Epic Reunion at Michael Trevino’s Wedding (PHOTOS)
The Vampire Diaries gang just got back together for a special occasion: Michael Trevino‘s wedding!
The actor, who played werewolf Tyler Lockwood in the supernatural CW series, and model Bregje Heinen said “I do” on Friday, June 20. The couple hosted a destination wedding in Spain, and a number of Trevino’s former costars made the overseas journey.
Nina Dobrev (Elena Gilbert) had fiancé Shaun White on her arm for the event. She was also pictured with Candice King (Caroline Forbes), who brought along her own fiancé Steven Krueger (who appeared also appeared in spinoff The Originals as Josh Rosza). Zach Roerig and Kayla Ewell, who played siblings Matt and Vicki Donovan, were also spotted in a group photo, alongside Charles Michael Davis (Marcel Gerald, a main character in The Originals).
“@Michaeltrevino & @bregjeheinen congratulations on finding true love,” Ewell told the newlyweds, who got engaged in December 2023, via Instagram. “Marriage is the best. We love you!”
Those who contributed to behind the scenes on The Vampire Diaries also joined in on the festivities, including the series’ co-creator Julie Plec and writer Carina Adly MacKenzie. Plec was happy to spend the weekend “celebrating with some old friends,” and MacKenzie expressed similar sentiments.
“I feel so lucky to still be celebrating life’s most magical moments with these people after all these years,” Adly MacKenzie said. “Crossing oceans to celebrate the highest points, and looking back and laughing at the lowest ones. Congratulations @bregjeheinen & @michaeltrevino — I hope it always feels like an adventure.”

Dobrev, who donned a Cult Gaia gown for Trevino’s wedding day, said it was “the most beautiful weekend” on Instagram.

The actresses posed with friends for another pic, with the venue as the backdrop. The wedding took place in a small town close to Barcelona called Sitges.
