We’re 35 episodes into the latest season of Love Island USA, and 22 contestants have been sent packing.

This season has been full of shocking eliminations. Multiple contestants have been asked to leave the villa early — more on that below — and others were strategically voted out by their fellow Islanders. Some have been dumped in a more expected fashion, whether they failed to find a connection by the time of the recoupling ceremony or they received the lowest amount of votes from the public.

As Season 7 nears its end, the Islanders’ numbers have dwindled, especially after this week. A whopping 12 Islanders have left all within a handful of days. Scroll to find out who’s out of the competition — and learn what exactly went down to cause their departure.

After visiting with their family members, the Islanders were all smiles — but things turned somber when the night’s “family dinner” turned into a surprise elimination. One by one, the couples discovered who America voted for to be in the finale. In the end, Ace and Chelley received the least votes and delivered some emotional goodbyes.

Eliminated: Episode 32

Another OG Islander has left the villa. With just under a week until the finale, America was tasked with voting for their favorite couple. Taylor and Clarke were in the bottom alongside Nic Vansteenberghe and Olandria Carthen. Ultimately, it was the former pair that had to say goodbye to Love Island USA.

Cierra Ortega, Elan Bibas & Zak Srakaew

Eliminated: Episode 30

Cierra is the second Islander to make an off-screen exit. Narrator Iain Stirling said that it was due to “personal reasons,” though fans suspect it has to do with a controversial post of hers that just resurfaced.

Later on, a more traditional dumping took place. Amaya Espinal had three guys pursuing her, among them Elan and Zak. She picked Bryan Arenales instead, so the other two remained single and were sent home.

Eliminated: Episode 27

Things got serious in Episode 27. After the Burst Your Bubble challenge — during which the contestants learned what America thinks of them — we found out who the least popular Islanders were.

Fans voted for their favorite boy and girl, and Taylor, Andreina, TJ, Gracyn, Austin, and Jaden were all in the bottom six. But when it came down to the Islanders to pick the person they thought should stay, Taylor got the most votes. That’s where the other five contestants’ journeys ended.

Eliminated: Episode 22

Casa Amor is never without its casualties, and when it wrapped up during Episode 22, four of the newbies were kicked out of the villa.

Ace Greene decided to get back together with Chelley Bissainthe, leaving CoCo without a connection. JD was originally with Huda Mustafa in Casa Amor, but their relationship fizzled out. He tried to get with Amaya as a last ditch effort to stay in the villa, but to no avail. TJ and Iris Kendall also became a couple again, leaving Vanna and Zac without partners.

Hannah Fields & Jeremiah Brown

Eliminated: Episode 18

Over the weekend, viewers were tasked with voting for their favorite boy and girl. Iris, Amaya, and Hannah were in the bottom three, as were Pepe Garcia, Jeremiah, and Austin Shepard.

However, fans didn’t get the final say in which two out of the six contestants were going home. In a surprising turn, the show left it in the hands of the Islanders, and they got rid of Hannah and Jeremiah. The pair were visibly shocked when the decisions were announced.

Jeremiah had just ended things with Huda and started exploring a relationship with bombshell Andreina Santos. He shared an emotional goodbye with both of them. Hannah was coupled up with Pepe after her old partner Charlie Georgiou was voted off. “I just don’t know how to talk to the people who just voted me to leave, especially my friends,” a tearful Hannah said to the girls.

Jalen Brown Love Island USA - Season 7
Ben Symons / Peacock

Jalen Brown

Eliminated: Episode 14

Only two days after the explosive recoupling that saw Charlie dumped from the island, host Ariana Madix showed up to make the group pair off yet again.

All of the women were handed phones to input the name of the guy they wanted to couple up with. Then, they were placed behind doors, and the guys were instructed to open the door of the girl they wanted to explore a connection with. If the door remained locked, it meant that the girl didn’t send in their name.

Jalen had been in the early days of getting to know Olandria, but when he went to open her door, it remained shut — she chose Taylor instead.

Jalen and Huda ended up being vulnerable to elimination, but more Islanders stood behind Huda, resulting in Jalen going home.

Charlie Georgiou in Love Island USA - Season 7
Kim Nunneley / Peacock

Charlie Georgiou

Eliminated: Episode 12

Charlie ultimately received the most votes from his fellow contestants during the latest dumping. The public decided that his partner, Hannah, should couple up with bombshell Pepe, leaving Charlie vulnerable. Huda and Taylor were at risk, too, but it was Charlie that the majority settled on sending home.

Charlie tried to make his case before the group started voting, explaining that he and Hannah had just had a breakthrough conversation and were stronger than ever, but ultimately, the OG contestants had a greater sway with their fellow Islanders.

Belle-A leaves 'Love Island USA' Season 7.
Kim Nunneley/Peacock

Belle-A Walker

Eliminated: Episode 6

In a dramatic turn, Belle-A and Cierra were the last two female contestants left at the end of the recoupling — which put Nic in a tricky spot. Nic and Belle-A paired up in the first episode of Season 7, but they didn’t form a connection instantly. It didn’t help matters when bombshell Cierra showed up at the end of Episode 1, stealing Nic away for a night in the Hideaway. The pair hit it off and became a couple in Episode 2.

However, Nic didn’t totally dismiss Belle-A afterwards. During the following episodes, the two continued exploring their connection, with Nic often noting that he wasn’t sure which out of the two he would choose. When push came to shove, he picked Cierra, explaining it was “the hardest decision” he had to make.

In their final chat, Belle-A told Nic, “I had high hopes. It breaks my heart that we’re not able to see it through, but I really should have just gotten the hint.”

“I’m going to miss you,” Nic responded. “I really didn’t want it like this.” Belle-A quipped back, “You made it like this.”

Yulissa in 'Love Island USA' Season 7
Ben Symons / Peacock

Yulissa Escobar

Eliminated: Episode 2

At the start of Episode 2, narrator Iain Stirling announced that Yulissa had left the villa, with no further explanation. Fans suspected that it had to do with the recent resurfacing of a podcast where the contestant said racial slurs. In a June 7 Instagram post, the former contestant addressed the situation.

“In those clips, I used a word I never should’ve used, a racial slur,” the caption reads. “I used it ignorantly, not fully understanding the weight, history, or pain behind it. I wasn’t trying to be offensive or harmful, but I recognize now that intention doesn’t excuse impact.”

“I’m choosing to speak for myself because I take full ownership of my actions,” she continued. “To those who are disappointed or offended, I understand and I apologize. I am sorry.”
