Exciting news, The Other Bennet Sister fans! The charming series about Pride & Prejudice‘s Mary Bennet (Ella Bruccoleri) will return for a three-part Christmas special. The Other Bennet Sister doesn’t have a sequel novel, so a Season 2 was never a sure thing. With The Other Bennet Sister Season 1 finale coming out today (June 24) on BritBox, this Christmas special is a happy update.

BritBox has announced The Other Bennet Sister is returning for a three-part Christmas special, produced by Bad Wolf for BritBox North America and the BBC. Sarah Quintrell, who wrote nine of the 1o episodes of Season 1, is returning to write all three episodes based on storylines by Janice Hadlow, the author of The Other Bennet Sister novel. Asim Abbasi, who directed five episodes of the series, will also return to direct.
