Joan Vassos & Chock Chapple Get Candid About Relationship ‘Issues’ in New Update
After their first holiday together, The Golden Bachelorette couple Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple are headed back to Los Angeles. The pair posted a video update on December 5 to give fans some insight into their relationship and what’s going on in their lives.
Vassos revealed that she dropped Chapple off at the airport in D.C. the day before, and he flew home to Kansas to do his laundry before hopping back on a plane to meet her in Los Angeles. They’ll return to Disneyland, where they had their first date, before attending iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball together. The sweet couple had a “great evening” with “maybe too many drinks,” Vassos admitted in the Instagram video.

However, Vassos and Chapple wanted to address something important: “We wanna tell everybody that we are real. We get that question all the time. People see us, and they go, ‘We didn’t realize you’re real!'”
The Golden Bachelorette star noted that it was “weird” to read that kind of commentary online. She also brought up their first Thanksgiving as an engaged couple. “We kind of merged our families for the first time at Thanksgiving. That was a little strange,” she admitted.
Vassos has four kids with her late husband, John. Chapple shares two kids with his ex-wife.
“But it went great, and we love being together,” Vassos continued. “In fact, when we’re not with our families, and it’s just the two of us, we are such a good couple.” She turned to Chapple and said, “The family part is a little harder, right?”
Chapple chimed in and said they would be doing a post “in a couple of days” about their differences, “from looking for parking spots to hiding cell phone charger cords, all that stuff, so we are a real couple, trust me.”
The Maryland mother of four added, “Everything is really good. All solvable and really stupid stuff.” Chapple quipped, ” I’m really funny. She doesn’t think I’m funny.” Vassos joked, “Yeah, I’m over it,” before adding, “He actually is [funny].”
The couple, who is currently looking for an apartment in New York City, told their fans their time together has “been incredible” so far before sharing a sweet kiss to end their latest update.
