‘White Lotus’ Star Patrick Schwarzenegger’s Relationship History: From Abby Champion to Miley Cyrus
Patrick Schwarzenegger was once best known for being the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, but now he’s making a name for himself as one of the stars of The White Lotus Season 3.
While his character on the HBO series is involved in an apparent incest storyline that has garnered strong reactions from some fans, Schwarzenegger’s relationships in real life have been much less controversial. With his star rising, viewers are curious about the actor’s love life and who he’s dating.

Who is Patrick Schwarzenegger dating?
Schwarzenegger is currently engaged to Abby Champion. They were first linked at the end of 2015 and made their relationship Instagram official in March 2016. At the time, it was reported that they had already been dating for “a while.”
While the two are fairly private about their relationship, they announced their engagement in December 2023. Schwarzenegger proposed on the beach, with the couple surrounded by rose petals in the shape of a heart. “FOREVER AND EVER,” the Instagram announcement said.

Although it’s been more than a year since they got engaged, Schwarzenegger and Champion aren’t in a rush to walk down the aisle. Busy schedules have kept them from diving too deep into wedding planning, but they don’t seem to mind.
“We’ve been together ten years, so it’s like we’re basically married,” he told InStyle in January 2025. “But we’re better as humans together than we would be apart. We bring out the best in each other. I feel that I’m the best version of myself with her and I think she does as well.”
Kids are likely in their future, though. He’s admitted he would “have kids tomorrow” if he could, but told People in September 2024, “It’s up to Abby. I mean, with her work right now, she’s so busy and stuff.”
Who is Abby Champion?
Champion is a model who was discovered in 2014 by accident. Her sister, Baskin, competed in beauty pageants and someone approached Champion in the crowd at Miss Teen USA 2014 while she was supporting her sibling. She was signed to a modeling agency later that year.
She has modeled for Chanel, Givenchy, Ralph Lauren, and more recognizable brand names. “To see her when I walk down the street, on every billboard of Chanel or Celine or Victoria’s Secret … it’s just such a great thing to watch how much she’s grown and how determined she is and how hardworking she is and how she has such a vision for her life,” Schwarzenegger gushed to People in February 2025.

Schwarzenegger had a five-month fling with Miley Cyrus in 2015. They were first linked in November 2014 and were together until the following April. Their romance was highly-publicized, as it came following Cyrus’ split from then-fiancé Liam Hemsworth.

At the time of the hot-and-heavy relationship, Schwarzenegger was studying at the University of Southern California. Cyrus attended a football game with him where they were seen packing on the PDA. However, with the former student focused on his studies and his girlfriend pursuing a music career, they found themselves in two different places and went their separate ways.
Before he dated Cyrus, Schwarzenegger was in a relationship with his USC classmate Taylor “Tootsie” Burns. They were first linked after a spring break trip in March 2013 and were together until some point in 2014 before his high-profile romance with the “Flowers” singer.
