‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Shocker! Alums Reveal Wild Potential Change for Season 10

Bachelor in Paradise is set to return for Season 10 in 2025 with a new showrunner but that reportedly won’t be the only change coming to the beloved ABC dating show.
Ashley Iaconetti and Ben Higgins are longtime members of Bachelor Nation with some inside sources that have insight into the inner workings of the franchise. On their Almost Famous podcast, they revealed some unexpected rumblings they’ve been hearing about the upcoming BIP season.
“Ben’s hearing that it’s going to be happening in Puerto Rico,” Iaconetti spilled, and Higgins jumped in to add, “Or the Dominican. It’s one of the two. I’ve been hearing the Dominican Republic or Puerto Rico. I can’t confirm either way, but that’s what I’m hearing.” The show is normally filmed at Playa Escondida Resort in Sayulita, Mexico.
While the podcast hosts reiterated that everything they’re sharing is just “hearsay,” they said that the reason for the rumored location change has to do with the heads of Playa Escondida. “[I have heard] the owner was like, ‘These new head producers, not my favorite, don’t love working with them. When I signed on to the show, I was working with these people, and now they’re all gone, and I don’t like these new faces,'” Iaconetti explained, referring to the franchise’s previous leadership change in 2023. “So that’s why they changed locations. Because the resort didn’t want to work with production anymore.”
Another rumor that the pair heard was that members of The Golden Bachelor franchise will be involved in the show in some capacity. “I hope that when we hear [what it is] it’s not going to be, ‘Oh, they’re going to host a date,'” Iaconetti added. “No. Please have the Goldens dating in Paradise. I know they’re not going to be able to handle the conditions that we live in because, as a 26-year-old, I had a hard time living in those conditions, but I hope they have this little side resort that the Goldens are mingling at because that would be prime TV.”
Higgins questioned whether or not there could be a scenario where one of the Golden contestants actually dated someone from the flagship show, and Iaconetti admitted that she could see one of the younger men trying to go after a Golden lady if they were all on the same beach.
Again, none of these changes have been officially confirmed by the network, but how do you feel about the potential location change? In what capacity would you like to see the Golden cast members in Paradise? Let us know in the comments below!
