Amy Robach & T.J. Holmes Make Shocking Confession About Relationship Timeline
Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes put their love to the test when they answered questions about their relationship on their podcast. While seeing how well they know each other, the couple agreed on an answer about when their romance began.
The beginning of Robach and Holmes’ romance was a bit controversial, as the relationship went public before they announced that they had separated from their respective spouses. Over the years, they’ve insisted that they didn’t start dating until they were going through their divorces, but when did the relationship actually start?
Well, it turns out Robach and Holmes don’t even know! The pair was asked where their first date was, and Holmes admitted that he was “struggling” to come up with an answer, to which Robach agreed. “It’s almost a trick question,” she said.
Holmes explained, “I don’t know what it was because we were friends for so long. Everything happened so organically. I don’t remember actually saying, ‘This is a date.'”
Robach had the same answer. “We have no idea when we had a first date because we have been, for 10 years, going out. ‘Let’s go grab a drink, go have lunch.’ We have been doing that from the jump,” she said. “So at one point, we didn’t go out to eat and say, ‘Hey, we’re dating now. This is our first date.’ No, we just kept it flowing, and it was such an organic thing.”
They also don’t have a date that they consider to be their anniversary. However, the relationship went public in the fall of 2022, and the former GMA 3: What You Need to Know coanchors have been going strong ever since. Last year, they moved in together.
“I love the routine of it,” Holmes gushed. “I love the not having to say, ‘Well, we’re going to be here or there,’ or, ‘Where are you going to be?’ We know we’re going to be together. I love that. I love the evenings of cooking together. I love being in the house and in the mix and in one home with us. I love all of that.”
