Joey Graziadei and Kelsey Anderson have been taking their time with planning their wedding, but they recently took an important step in the process.

It’s been a year and a half since Graziadei popped the question while filming Season 28 of The Bachelor in 2023, and it looks like he and his fiancée are starting to get serious about getting a date on the books.

“We’ve met with a wedding planner,” Graziadei told People. “We’re excited about trying to figure out when that date is going to be. That’s the start of the process. We’ve started talking through things. We’re still open, but it’s fun to start having those conversations. That’s kind of the idea of this year, is trying to get that figured out first, and when we have that, I’m sure everyone will find out.”

So, it still seems like there is no rush to wed, but this is certainly a step in the right direction! Of course, the couple has plenty to keep them busy these days with their new life in Los Angeles, where they moved at the end of 2024 following Graziadei’s winning stint on Dancing With the Stars.

Although Anderson was initially hoping to move to New York City with the former tennis instructor, Graziadei confirmed that she’s “[giving] it a chance” in L.A. “She’s understood, ‘Hey, New York’s always going to be there,'” he explained. “And I actually enjoy the idea of visiting there and like the idea of being here in L.A. So we’ve been kind of surprised at how much we’ve appreciated L.A., because we didn’t think that was somewhere we wanted to be, so I still see us being here in this next year.”

Graziadei said he and Anderson are still learning new things about each other every day but make sure to prioritize date nights so their busy schedules don’t get in the way of the relationship. “It just makes sense to have that extra little amount of time to put the phone down and be together and catch up and make sure that we’re still on the same page,” he shared. “It’s getting harder as we get busier, but we don’t want to lose sight of that.”
