Michael B. Jordan has a lot to celebrate this awards season. The actor’s vampire horror movie, Sinners, has earned an abundance of nominations and wins. Just ahead of the 98th Academy Awards, the Ryan Coogler-directed film earned the Best Ensemble Cast trophy at the Actor Awards. The same night, Jordan himself was named Best Actor for his performance as twins Elijah “Smoke” Moore and Elias “Stack” Moore, giving him plenty of momentum for the Oscars.

Jordan last gave an update on his love life in April 2025. While promoting Sinners, he clarified that he was focused on his career, but he’s been vocal about wanting a family in the future.
He told GQ that he was going to “sacrifice all my 20s to my work” and settle down in his 30s. The actor is now 38 and acknowledges his timeline shift is due to wanting to build “something solid” with his career. “Just because I’m competitive, and I know I would want to be the best dad,” he said. “But right now, I’m trying to do my best at this part [of my life] as well.”
He added, “I’m not tripping over it. I’m so work focused. I would want somebody to fit into the flow of my life, of where I am. And that’s timing, right? You can meet the right person, and be at the wrong time, and it just doesn’t work out. I think the person that’s going to be right for me lines up with the timing with who she is as a person, where I’m at in my life, how open I am to even…to that, you know?”
It seems that his stance hasn’t changed in the past year. Jordan was joined by his mother, Donna, on the red carpet of the Actor Awards, which occurred on March 1. He hasn’t been linked to anyone romantically thus far in 2026, either.

Just a few months after making their red carpet debut as a couple at the 2022 Vanity Fair Oscars after-party, Jordan and his then-girlfriend broke up. “Michael and Lori are both completely heartbroken,” a source told People. “They still love each other.”
