Are American Idol’s Diana DeGarmo & Ace Young Still Together?
Dianna DeGarmo finished as the runner-up on Season 3 of American Idol in 2004. Two years later, Ace Young competed on the show and came in seventh place.
At the time, neither aspiring singer knew that they’d eventually meet and spark a romance. They first met in 2010 (more on that below) and started dating. But what happened from there, and are they still together now?

Are Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo still together?
Yes, the couple is still together and going strong! They dated for less than two years before Young popped the question at the live finale of American Idol Season 11 in 2012. They wed on June 1, 2013, at the Luxe Sunset Boulevard hotel.
Today, DeGarmo and Young still keep fans updated on their relationship via social media. In 2022, she paid tribute to him in honor of their ninth wedding anniversary, gushing, “9: a completion of a cycle, and beginning of another. Love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. I love you @aceyoung. Happy Anniversary.”

How did Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo meet?
Although they had a shared history thanks to American Idol, it wasn’t until early 2010 that these two met while starring together in a Broadway production of Hair. However, the relationship started platonic and didn’t blossom until a few months later.
“We were friends, first and foremost, which I think is the best way to create a real relationship,” DeGarmo told Yahoo Music. “And we are best friends now. We had both been through Idol, which is such a unique life-changing experience, and we just truly bonded. We became best friends, and then suddenly, I’m coming out to L.A. to see my best friend and hang out, and then the next thing you know, one kiss starts it all.”
Where do Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo live?
The couple resides in Nashville. They moved there at some point after their 2013 wedding, but before 2015. In a February 2015 article, The Tennesseean confirmed that the pair had “recently” moved to the city.
Do Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo have kids?
No, DeGarmo and Young do not have any children together. They have not publicly spoken about their family plans.
