Daniel Goddard and his wife met while he was working as a server at Denzel Washington‘s restaurant Georgia, which is located in Los Angeles, he told Soap Opera Digest.
The couple met in 1998. “I said to myself, ‘I’m ready to meet the one I meant to be with,’ and I opened myself up to the acceptance of, ‘I want this in my life,'” he told TV Insider.
When did Daniel Goddard get married?
Daniel and Rachael Goddard married on February 3, 2002. “My wife told me that she wouldn’t have married me if I wasn’t good in bed, so I guess that means I’m also a good kisser,” he admitted to Soap Opera Digest. He also revealed that “there are are only two people on this earth who can tell me what to do and I’ll listen, and that’s my wife and Christel [Khalil, his former Y&R costar].”

Daniel celebrated his 23rd anniversary in February of this year. “23 years later and it still feels like the very first day. I am the luckiest man to have been chosen by you,” he wrote on Instagram. “Everyday, I count my blessings. Everyday single day. Thank you my love for being my rock. Words can neither describe how grateful I am for you nor how much you truly mean to me. I love you, always and forever ever. Happy Anniversary.”
Rachael also penned a loving note to her longtime husband. “It is not every man that can be married to a free spirited loner who also needs to be part of a close knit family.. a highly creative person that thrives in structure and organization… A social introvert… basically a complete dichotomy with all the love in the world to give and the most wonderful man to give it to… One who walks me to my car everyday and waves me off, texts me love messages every day, and wakes up wanting to take care of me for the rest of my life,” her Instagram message read.
