Are ‘Survivor’s Frannie Marin & Matt Blankinship Still Together?

Season 44 of Survivor brought us a nearly unanimous victory for the beloved Yam Yam Arocho and introduced the world to the chaos of Carolyn Wiger. But some may forget that it also featured one of the sweetest showmances in reality television history, too!

Frannie Marin and Matt Blankinship bonded over their “nerdiness” and formed a strong connection on the island when they filmed Survivor in 2022. Their season didn’t finish airing until nearly a full year later in May 2023, at which point they confirmed they had continued their relationship off the beach.

“We’ve cleaned up a little bit since Fiji,” Marin wrote on Instagram to hard-launch the romance. Now, two years later, where do they stand? Scroll down for an update!

Are Frannie Marin and Matt Blankinship still together?

Yes! It’s been nearly three years since Marin and Blankinship first met, but their relationship is still thriving today. While Blankinship isn’t very active on social media, Marin sometimes posts updates about their romance.

In March 2024, she reminisced about a previous trip they took to Paris, writing, “The best trips are the ones that hide in your camera roll for 3+ months and I will stand by that !!” The couple also ran the Twin Cities marathon together in October 2024.

Marin acknowledged their anniversary in 2024 by posting photos of her man and captioning it, “Two years?? Too easy.” The pics were posted on June 27, which is just days before filming wrapped on their Survivor season in 2022.

Where do Frannie Marin and Matt Blankinship live?

They live together in San Francisco. At first, they were in a long-distance relationship, as he lived in San Fran and she was on the East Coast in Boston.

“I think we did it really well, but there came a point where I was like, ‘I just want to see you every day. I just really do,'” Marin told Us Weekly in September 2024. “So I moved across the country, moved into his apartment in San Francisco. Truly, perhaps the best decision I’ve ever made. I love it here.”

Will Frannie Marin and Matt Blankinship return to reality TV?

Both Marin and Blankinship wouldn’t hesitate if they were asked to compete on Survivor again. “I think both of us would go back for Survivor in a heartbeat,” Matt told Us Weekly. “If they said, ‘Get on a plane in two hours,’ I’d be like, ‘Yes.’”

He also wants to give The Amazing Race a go, and said in 2024 that he’d been trying to “convince” his girlfriend. “She’s a little bit more Survivor or bust,” Blankinship explained. “I think it would be so fun. And not only that, I think we could crush it. I think it’d be so easy.”

Marin explained why she wasn’t necessarily onboard, adding, “I am very much a type-A planner type person. My whole life, I plan trips down to the moment. I’ve never missed a flight. I start dating Matt, [and] I’ve missed two flights. We would not thrive on The Amazing Race.”
