Jackson Olson pulled off the ultimate prank on his mom by convincing her that he was cast as the lead for an upcoming season of The Bachelor. The influencer and baseball star filmed himself telling his mom that he signed a contract for the show and would have to marry his final pick at the end.

His mom’s skeptical reaction won over viewers. Although she was supportive of her son, she also told him that she didn’t think he should do the show because she was worried he wouldn’t find the right person. In the end, Olson assured her that it was just a joke, and the video quickly went viral on social media.

Now, fans are begging ABC to actually cast Olson on the show. Scroll down to learn more about him the hunky athlete!

Who is Jackson Olson?

Olson is a baseball player for the Savannah Bananas, an exhibition team that plays “Banana Ball.” The game allows players to perform choreographed dances and invite audience participation amid the competitive baseball game. Olson has been with the team since 2022, according to his LinkedIn.

“We are known for our epic scoring celebrations. From running through the crowd to performing fully choreographed country line dances. When we score, you never know what will happen next,” the team’s website reveals. The program is just as much about entertainment as it is about baseball.

In addition to his baseball career, Olson is also a social media influencer, with more than 750,000 followers on Instagram. He “plans to become a social media manager at a Fortune 500 company or in Major League Baseball,” his bio reveals.

Where did Jackson Olson go to college?

Olson received his undergraduate degree from the University of Hartford, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in marketing in 2020. He was on the school’s Division I baseball team during his tenure.

After graduation, Olson went to Stetson University to obtain his Master’s degree in business marketing. He played on the baseball team and graduated in 2021.

Was Jackson Olson drafted?

After his junior year of college, Olson played one season of baseball with the Hyannis Harbor Hawks in the Cape Cod League. He was then offered a contract with the Arizona Diamondbacks in the MLB. However, he decided to turn down the offer, return to Hartford for his senior year, and take a chance on being drafted.

Unfortunately, that was not the case. Olson told CT Insider that “everything went bonkers” when COVID-19 hit because the amount of rounds in the draft was reduced. He didn’t end up getting drafted, which led him to his final year of college ball at Stetson. At that point, he began combining his love of social media with baseball by posting content from the locker room, on the field, and more.

His social media popularity ended up earning him a spot in the MLB’s Creator Class. He and 10 other employees were hired to create TikTok content so the MLB could reach a younger audience. So, while he wasn’t actually drafted to a team himself, he was still able to immerse himself into the MLB world.

Will Jackson Olson be on The Bachelor?

No, so far, there is no actual confirmation that Olson will be on The Bachelor. The show has not even been confirmed for Season 30 yet.

Another fan commented, “Does ABC realize that casting you as the next Bachelor, they’d have their best ratings ever?!?” and someone else said, “Plot twist an ABC/Disney executive sees the video and offers you the opportunity.”
