Gibson and Ruelas met in high school. They both attended Centennial High School in Bakersfield, California. In honor of their 14th anniversary on May 11, Gibson shared a photo of himself with Ruelas during their high school days. Gibson was a football player, and Ruelas was a cheerleader. The actor sweetly called his love “the greatest person on the planet.”
