‘Farmer Wants a Wife’ Star John Sansone Shares Update on Marriage Plans With Claire Dirette
Farmer Wants a Wife Season 3 is officially over, but the stars of the season continue to update fans on their love lives. John Sansone fell in love with Claire Dirette during the third season of the Fox reality dating show, and they’ve been together ever since filming ended eight months ago.
In the days since the finale, Sansone has started to open up about his relationship with Dirette now that they can publicly discuss their romance. The 25-year-old revealed his plans with Dirette in a new relationship update. Could wedding bells be ringing soon?
During Sansone’s recent appearance on the Trading Secrets podcast, host Jason Tartick pressed Sansone about whether or not he’d found his wife in Dirette. The Season 3 lead cryptically responded with a smile, “We’ll see.”
When it comes to his future family, Sansone wants a big one like his own. He admitted to Tartick that he wants six kids. (He is one of six kids.)
Sansone told Tartick that he and Dirette are aligned when it comes to their visions for the future. Both of them want to stay in the entertainment space after Farmer Wants a Wife. “That’s another reason why I picked Claire, too, was because her and I seemed to just have the same mindset going in, and then ultimately at the end we actually ended up liking each other, so it just kind of all worked out perfectly,” he said.
The Season 3 star shared further insight into his plans with Dirette. On May 27, a fan asked Sansone on his Instagram Story whether Dirette planned to move to the same town he lives in. Sansone responded, “Not anytime soon. We’re not far apart so this isn’t an immediate concern.” Sansone currently lives on his family’s farm in the St. Louis area, while Dirette lives in Chicago, which is less than a five-hour drive away.
Sansone recently revealed to Swooon that the “biggest secret” to his and Dirette’s success as a couple is having no “pressure whatsoever.” He continued, “The night after the finale, we were just talking, and we’re like, ‘Let’s just give this a try to see how it goes. Don’t put any expiration dates. Don’t put any requirements on it, just go at it day by day.’ I think that’s just one of the secrets to the success of our relationship.”
