Duck Dynasty is back with the all-new Duck Dynasty: The Revival, but a few familiar faces won’t be featured in the first season. Phil and Kay Robertson‘s second-oldest son, Jase Robertson, is one of the Duck Dynasty family members who won’t be returning.

Viewers first got to know Jase and his wife, Missy Robertson, during the show’s original run on A&E from 2012 to 2017. In the eight years since the show went off the air, so much has happened in the lives of the Robertsons. Are Jase and Missy still married? Here are all the latest updates on the Duck Dynasty couple.

Are Jase and Missy Robertson still together?

Yes, Jase and Missy Robertson are still happily married after 35 years. The couple met in high school. Jase actually set up a date with Missy to make his ex-girlfriend jealous, but he ended up falling for Missy.

Jase and Missy married in 1990. In his book, Good Call: Reflections on Faith, Family, and Fowl, Jase opened up about the early days of his marriage. He was a virgin when he married Missy, which he told Fox411 was “the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do in my entire life.” He added, “My wife in particular, she really loved the idea that she felt secure with me, like I had a direction I was taking. I didn’t sugarcoat anything. I said, ‘I’m a hunter, I’m a fisherman, I’m gone weeks at a time. I’m just laying this out. But I will take care of you and I will treat you with respect and I want to wait till I get married,’ and I would share my faith with them. Missy was the first girl that loved that. She was like, ‘Ok this is awesome.'”

He also revealed in the interview that Missy faced “persecution” over dating him because he was from a less privileged background than her. “Even in front of me they would make jokes,” Jase said. “I think she saw that I didn’t care what people thought about me. I was surprised that it didn’t bother her because they really heaped a lot of abuse on her.”

Today, Jase and Missy own Logtown Estate, a bed and breakfast and event venue, in Monroe, Louisiana.

Do Jase and Missy Robertson have kids?

Jase and Missy have three kids. Their oldest, singer Reed Robertson, was born in 1995. Reed is married to Brighton Robertson, and they have three children. Cole Robertson was born in 1997. Jase and Missy’s daughter, Mia, was born in 2003.

Mia was born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate. She has had multiple cranial and facial surgeries over the years. In 2014, Jase and Missy created The Mia Moo Fund in honor of their daughter. The organization is “dedicated to raising awareness and funds towards treatments of cleft lip and palate.”

Why aren’t Jase and Missy in Duck Dynasty: The Revival?

Duck Dynasty: The Revival will premiere June 1 and will center around Willie and Korie Robertson and their family. Jase and Missy, as well as Jase and Willie’s brother, Jep Robertson, won’t be in the first season. Willie and Korie’s daughter, Sadie Robertson, revealed to Taste of Country that the main reason Jase and Jep aren’t in the first season is because the network was interested in exploring “a whole new generation” of Robertsons who now work at Duck Commander. This includes Sadie and her brother, John Luke Robertson.

However, she did note that Season 2 is “already filming” and “next season [Jase and Jep] will be [in the show] a little more based off some fun things that we have going on with them.”
