Hunter Fieri & Tara Bernstein Are Married! Guy Fieri’s Son Ties the Knot in California Wedding
After months of teasing wedding plans, Hunter Fieri and Tara Bernstein are officially married. The couple tied the knot on August 30 at his family’s ranch, HuntRyde Ranch, in Sonoma, California.
Of course, Hunter’s famous father, Guy Fieri, was in attendance for the big day, along with mom Lori Fieri and 350 other guests.
“It’s controlled chaos over here,” Hunter told People about the wedding. “We just want to hang out with our friends, have some good food, and just enjoy ourselves. It’s just all of the people who mean the most to us.”
Tara looked stunning in a custom Justin Alexander ball gown that included gorgeous beading and sequined lace appliques. She also wore a scalloped cathedral-length tulle veil with floral lace embroidery.
The couple kicked off their wedding weekend with a family-style feast at their “Denim & Diamonds”-themed welcome party on August 29. At their wedding reception, Hunter and Tara had a custom six-tiered cake designed by Cake Boss star Buddy Valastro. The “country chic” cake was around “four feet tall, five feet tall,” and Buddy admitted it was “challenging” to transport from Carlo’s Bakery in New Jersey to California.
This wedding has been in the works for over a year. Hunter and Tara first teased the date of their nuptials on June 14, 2024. “365 days – walking down the aisle marrying my best friend, and we’ll be tearing up the dance floor with our loved ones by our side,” Tara wrote. “The countdown to the best day of our lives has begun.” It’s unclear when they decided to push the date back.
The big day was filled with special details, including having Hunter’s grandmother serve as the flower girl. The vision for the big day was thought out months in advance, as well. “We have this big pond and in the center of the pond is an island with a big willow tree on it,” Guy told People in February. “The idea is to have Tara walk across the bridge and do the whole thing.”
The couple went for “ranch elegance mixed with cozy camp vibes.” Guests camped out on the Fieri property in trailers. Hunter and Tara even slept in a massive tent on their wedding night!
Hunter met his bride at the 2023 Super Bowl while he was helping out at Guy’s Flavortown Tailgate and she was attending an event with Franklin Sports (she’s a sponsored pickleball athlete for the brand). Tara attended the tailgate and crossed paths with Hunter, but it wasn’t until they ran into each other inside the stadium later on that they actually started talking.
Two weeks later, the two started dating, and they got engaged in November 2023 after less than a year together. Like the wedding, Hunter’s proposal also took place at the California ranch.
Hunter is Guy and Lori’s eldest child. They’re also parents to a son Ryder, and were named legal guardians of their nephew Jules after his mom’s (Guy’s sister) death when Jules was just 11 years old.
