What does Tara Bernstein do for a living?
From 2016 to February 2025, Bernstein worked in social media for the New York Mets, per her LinkedIn. She created social media content for the professional baseball team and hosted segments including “Items of the Game.”
Now, she runs an events marketing company called TBCreative Inc. She’s a self-employed content creator, specializing in “pickleball, lifestyle, fitness, and fashion.” In 2022, she became a professional sponsored pickleball athlete for Franklin Sports. “Love hosting events and bringing people together,” her Instagram bio says.
Prior to beginning her career in the world of sports content creation, Bernstein graduated from Pace University (Pleasantville/Briarcliff campus) with a communications degree in 2018.
How did Hunter Fieri and Tara Bernstein meet?
The couple met while attending the 2023 Super Bowl in Arizona. Bernstein was in town to attend an event with Franklin Sports, while Fieri was assisting his dad with the Flavortown Tailgate ahead of the big game.
Bernstein found herself in attendance at the tailgate. “We’re all dancing, having a great time,” she recalled in an interview with People. “I turned around and I’m like, ‘Hey, can you take a video of me?’ And it was Hunter.” With 10,000 people in attendance, it was quite a lucky meeting.

Although they didn’t exchange contact information at the time, they crossed paths in the stadium later on while Bernstein was charging her phone and Fieri was grabbing food.
“Literally by a ketchup and mustard stand, we’re standing there and we’re just chatting and we’re just talking and hanging out,” Fieri shared. They became boyfriend and girlfriend less than two weeks later.
When did Hunter Fieri and Tara Bernstein get engaged?
Fieri popped the question on Thanksgiving Day 2023, just nine months after the two first met. He proposed at his family’s ranch in California, which is also where their wedding will take place.
“We both knew that we were going to marry each other,” Fieri admitted. “We just knew and we were just waiting for the timing of when I could do it. The only time I could [propose] was Thanksgiving.”
Did Tara Bernstein know who Guy Fieri was?
Bernstein admittedly didn’t know her husband-to-be’s famous father when she first met him. “I had no idea that they even had any shows, who they were,” she shared. “It was actually embarrassing. I grew up in a sports house playing sports my whole life. So for me, I never turned on the Food Network.”
Fieri didn’t care that Bernstein had no clue who his family was, and she got the seal of approval from his dad. “[She has] good values and is just a really great person so I couldn’t be happier for Hunter,” the host told People. “This is a big deal. To see him this happy and also to see him have a partner that is as driven as he is, it’s perfect.”
