All About Food Network Star Anne Burrell’s Husband & Their Sweet Love Story
The Food Network family is mourning the loss of beloved chef Anne Burrell. The Worst Cooks in America host died on June 17 at her home in Brooklyn, New York, at the age of 55.
“Anne was a beloved wife, sister, daughter, stepmother, and friend — her smile lit up every room she entered,” her family said in a statement to People. “Anne’s light radiated far beyond those she knew, touching millions across the world. Though she is no longer with us, her warmth, spirit, and boundless love remain eternal.”

Anne Burrell was married to Stuart Claxton, who works in ad sales marketing. In 2020, Claxton proposed in Cazenovia, New York, Burrell’s hometown. After their initial plans had been delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic, they married on October 16, 2021. Burrell and Claxton said “I do” in Cazenovia at the Windridge Estate.

The Worst Cooks in America host wore a stunning gown by Carolina Herrera. Burrell’s longtime pal Rachael Ray was one of her bridesmaids. Additional celebrity guests included Alex Guarnaschelli, Jeff Mauro, Marc Murphy, and Jenni Farley.
The couple had a home in Brooklyn. They moved in together after getting married. “Anne and I hadn’t lived together before we moved in and got married, so it’s been a whole adventure, but very lovely at the same time,” Claxton told People in 2023.

Burrell and Claxton met on the dating app Bumble. They started dating in 2018.
“Once you get to be a woman of 50 years old, you don’t really think that marriage is going to be on the plate for you,” Burrell told People. “I was always really focused on my career and marriage was never a huge thing in my life that I was looking for.
