Are ‘Bargain Block’s Keith Bynum & Evan Thomas Still Together? Updates After Show Cancellation
Keith Bynum shocked HGTV fans when he announced that Bargain Block was being canceled after four seasons. He has been hosting the show with Evan Thomas since 2021.
According to Bynum, the show was originally greenlit for Season 5 in December 2024, but HGTV then decided not to renew it. Instead, “a few more episodes” will come out in August to conclude Season 4.
The situation appears to be a bit contentious, as Bynum wrote on Instagram, “Our entire business and lives have been put through the ringer at the hands of a giant corporation, yet we persist lol.” He also added, “Everyone always told us TV is a fickle world and they are very right. Tv is full of a lot of great people but it’s also full of some of the worst people I’ve ever encountered.”

Yes, the guys are going strong amid the upsetting news about their show ending. Along with his message about the cancellation, Bynum shared several new photos of himself and Thomas to prove that they’re doing just fine in their personal lives.
He also celebrated their anniversary with another Instagram post on July 11. “12 years! How is that possible,” Bynum wrote. “And every year I love you more somehow. @emuralit happy anniversary my love. My life would have been so boring without you. Can’t wait to see what the next 12 years hold! We look so young lol.”

Bynum often posts photos with his partner on social media. They have been together for more than a decade after meeting on Match.com in Boulder, Colorado.
“Boulder is an amazing place, I love it. But it’s a very straight place,” Thomas told GLAAD. “So on Match, there weren’t very many gay guys who were actually on it.” After dating long-distance for a bit, the guys eventually moved to Michigan together.
Are Keith Bynum and Evan Thomas married?
No, the couple is not married, but they have been engaged since 2018. However, in 2023, they told Instinct Magazine that they don’t have plans for an actual wedding.
“People ask about this wedding stuff all the time,” Bynum explained. “And I don’t know how to tell them that we, like, have zero interest in a wedding. ‘Cause that’s not what anybody wants to hear. It’s like, we don’t care to be bound legally by the state.”
Thomas added that the “concept of a wedding sounds like a waste of money,” and said he and Bynum “already feel like [they’re] married, so it wouldn’t change anything in any meaningful way other than tax law.”
