Hallmark Star Rhiannon Fish Reveals Surprising Details About ‘Machu Picchu Proposal’ Kiss

When Hallmark asks, Rhiannon Fish is ready to break out her passport and head out on another adventure. The actress stars in the brand-new movie A Machu Picchu Proposal, which brings Fish and costar Alec Santos to the beautiful country of Peru.
Fish plays Katie, who travels to Peru to help her twin brother plan his proposal atop Machu Picchu. When their perfect proposal plan gets thwarted by Carlos (Santos), Katie has the handsome chef join her in scouting for the most romantic spot in the country.
Hallmark’s latest Passport to Love movie was filmed on location, including Machu Picchu. “We’ve just been so lucky in being granted permission to film on what is basically sacred land,” Fish told Swooon. “It’s the most incredible experience. I watched some of it back, and it literally looks like a green screen, but we were, in fact, there for all of those magical moments.”
Machu Picchu had been on Fish’s “bucket list,” but she admitted that she’s “very much a homebody” in real life. “I like to stay at home, so to get to explore the world doing what I love with this incredible crew of people and tell these lovely stories, it’s just an absolute dream come true,” she said.

Establishing the right chemistry was “really easy” for the My Norwegian Holiday star and Santos. Thankfully, they were able to build that connection quickly because they had to lock lips very early on.
“We actually shot our kissing scene on day two, which I’ve never had before, so we had basically said a handful of words to each other, and then were kissing up on Machu Picchu,” Fish revealed. “It was a whirlwind experience, but to do it with such an incredible person as Alex, who is such a safe, kind, lovely human being, we just had an absolute blast together.”
For Hallmark, Fish has also traveled to Costa Rica, Norway, and more places around the globe to create beautiful onscreen love stories. Next up? Another Hallmark movie that she can’t share news about just yet.
However, Fish hopes for a Japan-set Hallmark film in the future. “I’ve never been and I know it’s sort of loosely in discussion, so I’m just openly talking about it that I want to do that next, and I hope I get to do it with that crew before someone else takes that location,” Fish told Swooon.
