The 90 Day Fiancé Season 11 Tell All brought lots of drama. However, one fighting duo no one could have predicted was Mahdi Jahromi and 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way alum Daniele Gates.

During the Tell All, Daniele was brought out to comment on her various online spats with Mahdi’s Season 11 costar Shekinah Güven. Naturally, this led to Daniele and Shekinah sharing another argument on the Tell All stage. Throughout the Tell All, Shekinah also received negative attention from Amani and Matt Jlassi.

Backstage at the Tell All, Mahdi took it upon himself to defend Shekinah because, in his words, “No one deserves to be bullied by a group of people, including a man, for hours on end.” Mahdi believed that the four people “attacking” Shekinah, including Daniele, Matt, and Amani, were doing so because they were jealous. He specifically cited Daniele lying about Shekinah paying for bots to troll Daniele’s Instagram comments, which Shekinah has denied.

Even though he is “not a really confrontational person,” Mahdi believed he needed to step in to defend Shekinah. After he asked Daniele why she felt a need to lie about Shekinah, she responded, “I’m not a mean girl. I do teach yoga and meditation. But one of the things that is really important to me that is that I’m honest, and she’s a b*tch.” From there, the room took a clear split as Mahdi and Stevi took Shekinah and Sarper’s side, and Matt and Amani argued for Daniele.

While this argument was framed as behind-the-scenes footage, on June 30, 2025, Mahdi took to his Instagram Story to share what really went down off-camera. He shared, “I feel like something heavy’s finally off my chest. It’s not because some dude [Matt] tried to make it look like I was attacking this woman [Daniele]. It’s not even about her taking 10 steps just to get in my face and put her finger in my personal space…”

As Mahdi put it, “[Daniele] who ‘teaches yoga and meditation’ looked me in the eyes and said: ‘You’re gonna have many problems in this country. I wish my husband were here.’ And when I walked away, [She] said, ‘He’s a misogynist because of his culture.'” A New Yorker, Daniele married Yohan Geronimo from the Dominican Republic. According to Mahdi, an immigrant from Iran, Daniele claimed that his support for Shekinah, which she believed to be misogynistic, was due to his Middle Eastern culture. “She said that JUST because I am an immigrant from [the] Middle East,” Mahdi continued, She knew I didn’t attack her, she knew I just needed proof of her accusations, but she still made me BELIEVE that I attacked a woman.”

After weeks of carrying guilt for his actions, Mahdi realized the truth. “Y’all twisted everything so well that I actually believed I attacked [her]. I apologized 3 TIMES in front of everyone, even when she was the one who attacked me, because I thought I was in the wrong! And I did something unacceptable in this country!” Now, he’s taking back “every single one of those apologies,” adding, “I’m seeing people make MEMES about what I was beating myself up about for weeks!”

According to Mahdi, another moment that viewers did not see was his mindful decision to keep his hands behind his back after Daniele yelled at him for pointing at her from across the room, “just so [he] wouldn’t disrespect her.”

“In the end, what really disgusts me is how she told me I’m gonna have problems in this country because of my situation. I can see she’d never say that to me if I were an American man, and I just made my life harder for a week, just because I believed what they said.” He concluded his statement by adding, “I truly feel bad for the people who come to her seeking healing or light.”

While Daniele has yet to comment on Mahdi’s message, Shekinah thanked him for making her feel less alone in such a “chaotic environment.” Shekinah shared, “I am so sorry for this terrible experience you had in my country. I know it is very outside your comfort zone and character to be confrontational, but you did it in such a noble way. Unfortunately, the people you were addressing are far below the level you are on.”
