As 90 Day Fiancé‘s first official throuple, Amani and Matt Jlassi and their girlfriend, Any Aguirre, expected to “have some haters” who didn’t understand their unique relationship. What they didn’t expect was for viewers to react so strongly to their time on the show.

Following the 90 Day Fiancé Season 11 Tell All, Swooon sat down with all three members of the iconic throuple to discuss their relationship, intimacy, wedding plans, and more!

According to Any, the three of them are still happily together, even though the Tell All Part 2 left their status open-ended. “All relationships are down and up,” she told Swooon. “It’s normal.” Amani added, “We have problems we’ve worked through and that we are still working through. That’s part of being in a relationship.”

While Matt and Amani have not been in the same room as Any for about three weeks, the trio shared that the last time they were all together was “blended family time.” Amani also confirmed that their children “get along so well.”

Throughout their season of 90 Day Fiancé, Matt and Amani discussed their plans to legally divorce in order to bring Any to the United States. During our conversation, Matt told Swooon, “Everything that we need is done,” confirming that they have officially filed the divorce paperwork. Even so, soon-to-be divorcées have not told their children, who are four and seven years old, about their legal separation. When it comes to telling their children about their relationship, Matt explained, “It’s more about the people that we care about, not so much the titles.”

“Nothing is going to change in our lives,” Amani agreed. “In the end, it’s just a piece of paper. It’s just a very complicated piece of paper, legally, but in life, it’s not. They see us together, you know? And that’s what’s important.”

When asked what advice they would give to other married couples who want to broaden their relationship into a throuple, Matt and Amani told Swooon, “It takes patience and Any.” According to Any, “[Couples] need the have an open mind because it’s not easy introducing another person into your relationship.” Laughing, she added, “Open your mind because you have some troubles similar to us.”

Amani advised, “If you’re considering it, don’t be afraid. Don’t be afraid of society.” The 90 Day Fiancé star continued, “We put our lives out there to bring awareness to this type of lifestyle, so that it’s not taboo, so we can normalize it.”

One common question about throuples where an individual joins a preexisting couple is if there is a power imbalance between the couple and their “new” partner. In regard to their power dynamic, Any shared with Swooon, “They’ve [stayed together] for 10 years. Ten years, it’s a life. At the same time, I feel they have more power together, because they have connection, for the kids, for life, for everything, you know?” Any confessed that a major part of this difficulty is their distance, “I need to stay with them [for] more time. [Right now], I am living in Tijuana. It’s close, but it’s far. She needs [to work] in LA, and he stays in San Diego. When we stay together, we have a beautiful time, but it’s different.”

During the Season 11 Tell All, Matt, Amani, and Any revealed that while Matt and Any had been intimate one-on-one, Any and Amani have not had intimate one-on-one time together. Amani told Swooon that she and Any have not had that time together yet, but they are “working on it.”

“When we do get together, they never want to feel like they’re leaving me out,” Matt confessed. “So it’s always like, you know, ‘Come on Matt.’ And I’m like, ‘Oh, but come on, guys.'” According to Matt, every time he tried to give them alone time, his partners would tell him, “Yeah, but you’re Matt, we love you,” and convinced him to join in.

The real reason Matt and Any have spent so much time together alone is twofold. Amani is often focused on her busy work life, running two different businesses in real estate and doing tech services. “I’m about the money, I’ve always been honest about it. That’s my passion, and that’s how I provide for everyone,” Amani said. At the same time, Amani confessed that healing from her multiple surgeries made it impossible for her to participate in their physical relationship. Amani told Swooon, “I couldn’t have sex. I had my BBL, so I couldn’t. It was okay for them to be together, because I physically could not even contribute.”

On the topic of intimacy, Matt added, “At the time, my wife was feeling like, ‘You give me these forms of affection where I feel satisfied, but I can’t reciprocate.’ So eventually, she actually arranged [for Any and me to get together].” Amani noted, “That’s the best part of being in a throuple. If one can’t do it, the other one can.”

For the throuple, the next step in their relationship is bringing Any to the United States. Amani explained, “We have talked already to an immigration lawyer. We have a really good plan. We’re actually going to do a marriage visa, not a fiancé visa, so that Amy can do the process from her country and be there for her children.”

As for the wedding? They’re already looking at (and debating) venues in Guadalajara. While the wedding will be between Any and Matt, Amani shared, “I will be the wedding planner for both of them, so we’re enjoying the process.” Matt confessed that he sees the day of his marriage to Any a little bit differently from his current wife and confirmed to Swooon that he has asked for all three of them to share vows at the wedding.

Now that wedding bells are officially in the future for 90 Day Fiancé‘s inaugural throuple, we couldn’t help but ask if the Season 11 stars would consider returning to the franchise for another season. In response, Amani joked, “We’re still recovering from the one that just finished.”

According to Amani, she and her partners have received some severe comments online.”People are crazy to the point they’re like, ‘Oh, I called Homeland Security on you. I called CPS on you.'” Her response? “It’s a show.

Amani also wanted to clarify her “money situation” with Any. “I don’t think that was fair the way it was portrayed on the Tell All,” Amani revealed. “First of all, Any has taken $0 from me after the Tell All.”

However, Amani pointed out that “everything Any said on the Tell All, she was honest about it, and people twisted it.” While it is true that Amani would send her some money and gifts, Any is an independent woman. “She has a life. She has three kids to take care of. She does not want to depend on anybody. I want her to feel empowered,” Amani said. “Any wants to be completely independent to prove to me that she’s there, not for the money, but for us. I did hurt her feelings when I answered the question that Shaun [Robinson] asked, ‘Do you think Any will still be there if there’s no money?'” At the time, Amani said Any would not stay with them if Amani didn’t provide for her.

“Financial support has been a topic for many a 90 Day cast,” Matt commented. “We’re all stuck in the same situation where one of our partners cannot work when they come here. It’s not a new idea. We are just helping out [our partner] in very small ways.”
