‘Virgins’ Finale Preview: Alex Plans Over-the-Top Date to Confess He’s Never Had Sex (VIDEO)
You know what they say, all’s fair in love and heart-shaped pools…
Described as “a wild, warm, and wonderfully awkward ride,” TLC’s Virgins follows four adults (who have yet to have sex) as they navigate romance in their 30s and 40s. Throughout the season, “late bloomers” Deanne, Alex, Rhasha, and Sonali have stepped out of their comfort zones and into first dates, bondage classes, and more in order to seal the deal.
In Swooon‘s exclusive preview of the season finale, behavioral specialist Alex Stunz may finally be ready to take the next step with his date, Lauren.
Upon entering the romantic hotel adorned with heart-shaped balloons, roses, and Valentine’s Day-esque decor galore, Alex confesses to a producer that he hopes Lauren likes the romantic vibe because he’s working up the courage to tell her that he’s a virgin. “I’m hoping that if I bring her here and romance her a little bit, it’ll soften the blow so she might accept it,” he says.
Let’s just say, if Lauren thought the hotel lobby was over the top, their massive suite, featuring a sauna, massage table, mirrored ceiling, and a heart-shaped pool, is extravagance to the max. Seemingly taken aback, Lauren admits, “I’ve never seen a heart-shaped pool. I’m kind of questioning, you know, what this is.”
While Alex is excited to “see what [they] do” with their over-the-top room, his date is a little weary, referring to the suite as “totally uncomfortable” and “definitely not something I would have picked.”
