What Happened to Bachelor Nation’s Justin Glaze & Susie Evans? Their Relationship Explained
Susie Evans will arrive to Bachelor in Paradise during Week 2, which means she’ll be reunited with her ex, Justin Glaze. The two became friends after he asked her for help filming video content at the end of 2022, since Evans is a videographer. However, it wasn’t until late 2023 that they became a romantic item.
Although fans were convinced they were a couple for months, the relationship was strictly platonic… until it wasn’t. They confirmed they were boyfriend/girlfriend in January 2024. Evans and Glaze went on to date for several months before (sort of) calling it quits that summer

What happened to Justin Glaze and Susie Evans?
Glaze was the first to confirm the pair’s split during an appearance on the Almost Famous podcast in August 2024. “Susie and I, we’re not together,” he admitted. “We are doing our best to — kind of, like I said — protect each other, keep things private as we try to navigate what this looks like for us.”
The following month, the two were spotted together at a taping of Dancing With the Stars. Evans also admitted in December 2024 that the relationship hadn’t fully run its course.
“We are working on things and seeing if it makes sense for us and taking things slow, taking things privately,” she told Trista Sutter on the Almost Famous podcast. “[We are] just kind of seeing what really makes sense for us.”
While she considered their relationship to be a “positive friendship” at the time, she wasn’t writing off a romantic reconciliation completely. “A big thing in life is compatibility,” she shared. “We’re just at points in our life where we have to figure out if we are compatible.”

During the premiere episode, Young said that it had only been “a few months” since Glaze officially split with his ex, noting that the breakup was likely still quite raw for the pair. Evans and Glaze have kept the reason for their breakup private, but it appears they did try to keep things going before officially calling it quits.
“We aren’t together, but we love each other so freaking much, like to the point where it’s just painful for the both of us, so that’s been tough to navigate,” Evans admitted during her Almost Famous podcast interview.
Of their decision to keep the details to themselves, she added, “The little bit that you give to people, the way people recap it or put their own twist on it or make assumptions, it can be perceived in a way you don’t want it to be.”
Who else have Susie Evans and Justin Glaze dated?
Evans was famously Clayton Echard‘s final pick on Season 26 of The Bachelor in 2022. Although she left the show when she found out he was intimate with two other women (Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia), he convinced her to come back and give him another shot.
She still turned him down at the final rose ceremony, but they reconnected after filming and were dating by the time the finale aired in March 2022. The romance lasted six months before they called it quits that September, but the two remained on amicable terms after the breakup.
Meanwhile, Glaze was the runner-up on Katie Thurston‘s season of The Bachelorette in 2021. In 2022, he was a contestant on Season 8 of Bachelor in Paradise. Although he was eliminated in Week 2, he made it clear he was interested in pursuing Eliza Isichei, who arrived after his elimination. Isichei had already struck up a romance with Rodney Mathews, but Glaze returned to the beach with a date card to try and win her over.
They had a good date, but she still gave Mathews her rose over him, which meant that Glaze had to head home once again. When Isichei had a change of heart, she flew to his house to try to win him back, but he wasn’t having it.
“I want someone who is so sure about me and who is going to choose me without hesitation,” Glaze said. “That’s not what happened. You chose Rodney. That s**t hurts.”
