Adam Sandler has been in Jennifer Aniston‘s life through all the ups and downs of her romantic history over the years. So, how does he feel about her relationship with new boyfriend Jim Curtis?

While attending the premiere of Happy Gilmore 2, Sandler spoke about his longtime friend’s new romance.

“Come on, whatever is going on with Aniston, I’m happy for her,” he said in an interview with Access Hollywood. “She’s just a solid human being, anything she’s doing. But I’m always wishing her the best because I love her.”

Aniston and Curtis were first linked after they were photographed vacationing together in Spain earlier this month. Us Weekly then confirmed that the two were an item. “They are being super private but have been spending a lot of time together,” the mag’s source shared. “They are happy and really into each other.”

This is the A-lister’s first public romance since her split from husband Justin Theroux in 2017. Their divorce was finalized the following year. Sandler has been married to his wife, Jackie, whom he shares two children with, since 2003.

Sandler and Aniston first met in the early 1990s while she was dating one of his friends. They maintained their friendship and worked together for the first time on the 2011 movie Just Go With It. In 2019, they reunited for Murder Mystery, followed by the film’s sequel in 2023.

“[Aniston] and my wife have a nice time tag-teaming to try to make me a healthier human being,” Sandler previously told The Hollywood Reporter. “Like, they want me to stretch more, eventually be able to touch my toes, which I’m about nine inches away from. But Jen’s also just funny as hell, and she makes you so happy. When we go to parties with her, there’s no leaving the party. At 1 in the morning, I’ll say to my wife, ‘We’re going to keep going, huh?'”
