Following a fan-made TikTok reading, “Me rn cuz i just found out hero (hardin scott) just got [cast] as Alex [Volkov],” readers latched on to the rumor that the actor had taken on the role. However, neither Netflix, Huang, nor anyone else connected to the adaptation has confirmed with a casting announcement.

Fiennes Tiffin is an English actor best known for portraying Hardin Scott in the After series and young Tom Riddle in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Most recently, Fiennes Tiffin starred opposite Bridgerton Season 2 lead Simone Ashley in Picture This. While Twisted Love is not on the horizon for the actor (yet!), he is set to star in Young Sherlock on Prime Video. The author has been very vocal about making sure her fans do not believe casting rumors unless they come from an official source. She stated, “I want to reiterate that no one has been cast in the show yet. In an exclusive interview with Swooon, Huang confirmed that Netflix will not begin the casting process until they complete the script. She noted, “We are moving along on the process. Right now, we are focusing on just kind of nailing that script and then everything else kind of flows from that.”
